A/N: Wow, thanks so much for the reviews guys! I'm trying hard to reply to all of them, I know I always liked getting feedback from an author. I know I'm not the best writer in the world but I'm really flattered that you guys liked my story! -insert blush here-

September 5th

Two days had passed since Hermione was admitted to St. Mungo's and there was still no change in her condition. News spread quickly about what happened to her and soon bouquets of flowers, cards, and stuffed animals had started to arrive. Harry, Ron, Ginny and Luna spent the afternoon going through the cards; some of them were from people sending their condolences, some not so much.

“Unbelievable!” Ginny hissed furiously ripping up a card that held a girls cell phone number and address for Harry in case he ever wanted to `talk'. “The nerve of some people, using Hermione's condition to try and get to Harry.” Luna made a grunting noise in agreement. The young blond was arranging some of the flowers in the room while Harry, Ron, and Ginny sat in a semi-circle around Hermione's bed.

“This one's nice.” Harry commented holding up a handmade blue card. “Dear Hermione,” He read, “I felt horrible when I read what had happened to you in the Daily Prophet yesterday morning. I know you don't know me and I don't know you, and we probably will never meet but I sincerely hope that the healers will be able to find a cure for you. You should be rejoicing like the rest of us that You-Know-Who is gone, not lying there in a hospital bed. I'm sure your friends and family miss you so much. Always, Raven Walters.”

“Aww, that's a cute one.” Ginny cooed, smiling at Harry. She picked up a white card on top of the pile and opened it, her nose scrunching up in disgust as she read, “Listen to this one. `Dear Harry potter, As president of you fan club it is my duty to say on behalf of the entire fan club that we hope Miss. Granger recovers soon. We would love it if you would be able to come down and visit to say a few things on how you're dealing with your loss.' How shallow can you get?” She asked, looking up at Harry.

Ron started to laugh as Ginny finished off the card. He snatched out of her hands to read for himself, “Love, Valerie Mathews.” He chuckled, “And look, she even put little hearts around her name too!”

Harry shook his head as Ron tossed the card onto the pile. Taking off his glasses, Harry rubbed his eyes tiredly. He had gotten three, maybe four hours of sleep in the past few days. Harry kept seeing Hermione every time he closed his eyes. And in the few precious hours that he did sleep, Hermione invaded his dreams. He sighed and put his glasses back on. Everyone was looking at him like they expected him to say something. He realized that someone had asked him a question, “Sorry, I missed that.”

“I asked if Hermione's parents know what happened to her.” Luna said, taking a seat beside Harry and took The Quibbler from her bag.

“I think Remus told them yesterday. He's trying to pull some strings so Mr. and Mrs. Granger can come and see her.” Harry said, taking a sideways glance at the sleeping female and sighed.

Ginny put the pile of cards that were in her lap on the side table, got up and stretched. “I'm going to go down to the cafeteria to get a muffin or something,” She said. She looked over at Harry and smiled softly, “Do you want to come with me, Harry?”

Harry managed a grim smile and shook his head, “I'm good, thanks.” Ginny's smile faltered and she looked downward. She nodded and walked out of the room quickly.

Ron stared at Harry, a frown wrinkling his brow. “Mate, now that You-Know-Who is gone, you know that she thinks you two are going to get back together again right away.”

Harry started at him incredulously, his mouth hanging open slightly, “You have got to be kidding me. Ron, I don't think that getting back together with Ginny is the best thing to do right now.”

“I know that.” Ron said defensively, going into protective big brother mode, “I just don't want you leading my sister along.”

“I would never do that.” Harry hissed, his eyes narrowing dangerously at his so called friend.

“Would you two stop arguing? You're scaring the Crinkledinks away.” Luna said, frowning at the two boys from over the top of her magazine.

Harry looked at her and blinked, “Scaring the what?” He asked, his anger with Ron momentarily forgotten.

“Crinkledinks.” Luna put her magazine down and gestured around the room, “They look over the patients in hospitals and don't like raised or angry voices. You two managed to scare half of them away.”

Harry couldn't help but feel a little guilty as he was hit with the look Luna was giving him and Ron. “Sorry Luna.” He said quietly, sinking back into his chair, feeling a bit like a child being scolded.

“Yeah, sorry.” Ron apologized as well. An awkward silence followed as Harry and Ron tried to think of something to say. Thankfully, Ginny returned at that moment carrying four muffins with her. Ron brightened up as he saw the food, “Hey thanks, Gin! I'm starving!”

“Hey!” Ginny protested as Ron grabbed a muffin, almost knocking the others out of her hands. Ron smiled at his younger sister and took a big bite. “I got muffins for all of us.” She said, glaring at Ron before turning away from him. She handed Harry and Luna each a muffin and sat back down beside Harry.

“Thank you.” Luna said. She put her magazine down and broke a piece of her muffin and popped it in her mouth. Harry gave a slight nod of his head in thanks as he began to eat. It was a blueberry muffin, he noted. Hermione's favorite. He remembered when the trio had first started the hunt for the Horcruxes; Harry would come down every morning to the kitchen to see Hermione with her coffee and blueberry muffin.

“These taste like the kind Hermione always had at Grimmauld Place.” Ron said, finishing off his muffin.

“They are.” Harry said grinning, “I remember when she went spare on you because you ate all of her muffins.”

Luna and Ginny laughed, “They were in a basket on the table.” Ron protested, “I thought anyone could take one.”

“Yes Ron, one.” He laughed, “You ate six muffins in one sitting.”

“She over-reacted.”

“She was in a bad mood to start with.”

August 28th, 2 years earlier

Harry yawned loudly as he made he way downstairs to the kitchen. Thankfully he didn't have to worry about waking Mrs. Black's portrait, Hermione had miraculously found a spell to remove her once and for all much to the displeasure of Kreacher. The trio had been living in Grimmauld Place for a little over two weeks now and they were quickly getting into a routine.

“Good morning,” Harry yawned again, walking into the kitchen. He expected to see Hermione there smiling back at him with her coffee and blueberry muffin. Instead, he saw a very, very angry looking Hermione glaring at him. “What?” He said, stepping back and feeling slightly afraid.

“You better not have eaten my muffins, Potter.” Hermione growled, crossing her arms.

“What?”

”My muffins!” Hermione pointed to an empty basket in the middle of the table where the muffins were usually placed, “Last night there were six muffins in there, now there are none.”

“I didn't eat them.” Harry said quickly. He knew Hermione needed her blueberry muffin every morning, it threw her off if she didn't. “It must have been, Ron.”

Hermione bristled. The air around her seemed to crackle with electricity. Harry took another step back, feeling slightly more afraid. She must have woken up on the wrong side of the bed and having her morning ritual disturbed probably set her off, “Ooh, just wait until I get my hands on you, Ronald Billius Weasley.” She growled.

Harry cautiously went over to the coffee pot and poured himself a cup, “I knew I should've just stayed in bed today.” Hermione started. Harry sat down across from her, stirring his coffee, “Everything has just been bad from the get go. When I got out of bed the bottoms of my pajamas snagged on the corner of my desk and they ripped. They're my favorite pair of pajamas too! I couldn't tame my hair which is why it's in a ponytail today, all my clothes are dirty so I have to do laundry again in that horrid, smelly basement, I got my pe - never mind. (Harry turned a nice shade of pink.) And when I come downstairs thinking nothing could possibly be worse, I see that Ronald ate all of my muffins!”

“Someone called?” Ron asked, rubbing his wet hair with a white towel.

Hermione swirled around in her chair and glared at him, “You!” She snarled, getting up. She marched over to Ron and poked him in his chest, “You ate all of my muffins!”

“They… they were yours?” Ron asked in a small voice. He held the towel in front of him like a shield.

“Yes! And you ate them all!” Hermione said shrilly. “There were six blueberry muffins sitting in that basket last night when I went to bed and they were all gone when I woke up. I hardly think Kreacher would do such a thing, am I right?”

“I may have had a late night snack sometime last night.” Ron admitted, taking a step back. Harry felt bad for his friend, but he couldn't help think that Hermione looked really hot when she was mad. He shook his head. She was his best friend! He wasn't allowed to think of her like that.

“And ate all six muffins?!” Hermione shrieked. “That isn't a late night snack, Ronald.”

“Hermione,” Ron pleaded looking at Harry for help. Harry put his hands up and backed away, there was no way he was going to get into this. Hermione was scary when she was mad, “I'm really sorry. How about I go and buy some more muffins as a peace offering?”

Hermione glared at him, breathing heavily, “They better be big muffins.” She finally said, stepping away from the shaking teenager. “And remember that they are blueberry muffins. I won't forgive you if you get the wrong kind.” She grabbed her coffee cup from the table and stomped out of the kitchen. A moment later a door upstairs slammed shut.

“What the bloody hell was that all about?” Ron asked, putting the towel down.

“You ate her muffins.” Harry said smirking.

September 5th, present year

Luna and Ginny were laughing loudly as Harry finished telling the story, “I remember Hermione telling me something like that.” Ginny said, wiping the tears from her eyes, “She was so mad at you, Ron.”

The tips of Ron's ears turned pink as he slouched into to his chair, “I love Hermione and everything, but she can be bloody scary when she wants to be.”

Harry nodded, “I was a little scared too,” He admitted, grinning at Ron. “But seeing Ron's terrified face was totally worth it.”

“Yes, let's all take the Mickey out of Ron.” Ron pouted.

“Well someone has to do it while Hermione is asleep.” Ginny said, punching Ron's shoulder. Her brother glowered at her but said nothing, “Oh stop sulking, Ron.”

Harry smiled and looked over at Hermione as the sibling began to bicker with each other. His smile faltered a bit as he got up, “Where are you going, Harry?” Luna asked.

“I'm going to see if the medi-wizards have found anything yet.” Harry explained, Ron and Ginny stopped bickering to look at him, “I can't stand sitting here and waiting.” He walked out of the room and closed the door, leaning against the frame.

“Harry.” He looked up and saw his mentor walking towards him, “Thought you'd like to know Hermione's parents will be here to visit her tomorrow morning.”

“That's good.” Harry said, smiling a little, “Do the healers have any idea what the cure is yet?”

Remus shook his had sadly, “Unfortunately they don't. Since no one was in hearing range of Hermione when she was hit, they have no idea what it could be. There are tons of curses that have the symptoms Hermione is showing.”

“Can't they just try them all?” Harry asked angrily.

“It isn't that simple, Harry.” The older man said softly, “If the healers could do that don't you think they would have already? If they try and cure Hermione with the wrong spell or potion it could seriously harm her.”

Harry sighed, beginning to feel hopeless, “Then how the hell are we going to wake Hermione up?” To his dismay, Harry began to feel tears start to form in his eyes. He ducked his head and hoped that Remus didn't see.

“Have faith, Harry.” He said, patting Harry's shoulder, “Sooner or later something will turn up that will help the healers discover what spell it is.” He gave his shoulder a squeeze then opened the door and stepped inside. Harry could faintly hear Remus telling Ron, Ginny, and Luna about Hermione's parents from where he was standing.

Harry pushed off of the wall and slowly made his way down to the cafeteria, keeping his head down. He paid for some pumpkin juice and sat down at a small table in the corner of the cafeteria. `There has to be something I can do to help Hermione,' Harry thought, taking a sip of his pumpkin juice. The medi-wizards weren't trying hard enough. He, Ron, Ginny, and Luna would have to take matters into their own hands.

A/N: Yaaay I is done!! Hehe. Hope you liked this chapter. Hopefully next chapter will be a bit longer. And don't get used to this being updated fast, I have a week and a half off of school, no homework so I'm writing basically from when I get up to when I go to bed. Once school starts again I don't think I'll have that much free time. -sadness-

And don't forget to review! I don't care if it's criticism, flames, or what ever. My thought is if you don't like it, tell me and I learn from my mistakes and that will make me a better writer.

Until next time,

I Heart Harry
