“Potter, you stupid prat, don't you ever touch my ass again!” Lily screamed, smacking James in the face.

“It was an accident! I slipped in the mud and my hand slipped and grabbed your bottom. Is it that big of a deal?” James screamed, rubbing his cheek where there was now a rosy red mark.

“Yes it is. And if you ever touch me without my permission again, you will be in St. Mungo's and I will be in Azkaban.” She threatened, storming up the stairs.

That was the last day of James' and Lily's fifth year. Their last year of feuding.

The next year James and Lily made a truce. A truce of honesty, respect and friendship.

James had sworn to Lily that he would no longer hit on her, make fun of her, or prank her.

Lily swore to no longer hex him, slap him or punch him unless it was required.

That began their friendship.
