My Other Half

Quietly, I steal away.
Ten minutes to get to
Where my comfort lies.

I am anxious to see
To feel, to taste, to smell, to hear
My other half.

Deep in the night
I am almost there!
Dare I believe what I see?

Tall and lean
Raven colored hair
Eyes as green as emeralds

Heart as pure as gold.
Soul as innocent as a child's
Face of a boy, yet one of a man.

My other half turns
He sees my quiet creep.
Smiles at the effort.

My stomach flips
My heart skips a beat.
I smile and walk up to him.

And the night passes
As I stay with my other half.
To be completed until the morning light.
