Awwwwww. It just breaks my heart to know that that never happened and that James never taught Harry how to ride a broom and that Harry was never spoiled by his parents. This was a really good idea!

my review of the last chapter needs to be repeated here! absolutely wonderful. a perfect portrayal of love and you write so well that i am feeling the fear and determination in the vioces of my favourite characters. so in suit with characterisation making this piece of art all the more vividly belivable. i must cut this short however to retreive the tissues, my sleeves are drencehed and will not suffice in clearing my tears much longer. like i said i look forward to reading more of your work (evidentally in other stories as this is a one shot)

Crying yes i am crying! that story was so in character and that is a favourite feature of mine in fanfics. " I love him like a brother, Lily, but I swear if he wakes you up I'm going to kill him" just hilarious and so well depicted in suit with james. also so correct is james thoughts about sirius and his actions/attitudes. spot on. JKR would be proud no doubt. you've captured the trates that harry gets from his father about not being able to dream and believe so well. very good job there. the best part of this is ofcorse how well you portray james love for lily. just perfect. i will look forward to reading more of your work. your are very talented, its amazing how beautiful that was yet i'm actually sobbing that james worst fears came true. so perfect a depictin of the characters involved's persona's thoughts and actions. truly a correct and inspiring tale of a great love i'm still yet to get my head around the depths of. yet i can say with great delight that you just assisted this amazingly.

Wow. This was so so so incredible! It was so touching and it was a huge reality slap, of how harsh the real world can be, but how the horrible reality of life out there and the dangers we face on a day to day basis can be overcome and we can get through them with love. You send a very positive message to all your readers and, personally, I think that's teriffic! I was wondering, however, if you planned on writing a 3rd part to this, with Lily and James once they wake up, after theyve each read their letters. It wouldnt have to be long, just a short concluding piece. You did James, You did Lily, now do Lily and James. If you want to, of course. Just a thought. Well, this fic was amazing, I *really* enjoyed reading it, and you did an *excellent* job!

I'm literally tearing up here. Beautifully and realistically written. The best and worst part-worst because it's so sad- is this paragraph:

I see you smiling beside me as we watch him take his first steps. A sparkle in his eye when I hand him his first broomstick and teach him all about quidditch. Maybe he'll be a chaser like his dad. Then you're dragging him in to Madam Malkin's to buy school robes. It's going to break my heart to have him away so much when he starts Hogwarts, but I know he'll have a wonderful time and make great friends like we did. I see him stepping on that train and waving goodbye. He'll be a Gryffindor, I know that for sure. And I'll sneak him the Invisibility Cloak when you aren’t looking.

this is extremely cute... it's feel so real, like you're actually in Jame's shoes as he's writing the letter... it's so "confortable" - it's both intense and soft at the same time... good job, hope you continue, perhaps a prequel?

Gosh, this story made me cry! Poor James and Lily... I loved the figurative language you used in this story. I loved the way you fit this all into the books. Reading this just makes me feel so sorry for Harry. They really looked forward to taking care of him. And James really had misgivings... It's all stupid Peter's fault! I've never been very angry at him but now, it just makes me want to burn up. He destroyed such a loving family! But i'm ranting. I hope you post another story, even if it is one-shot. It's really beautiful.
