Hmmm ... for a 15-minute ficlet, this is pretty good.
No, change that -- it is very, very good! Excellent, even.
The only thing is ... it seems to be an excellent basis for a wonderful story, something which will explore Luna and Ron from an angle which so few seem to have touched on -- their serious sides. (I will have to admit, however, that I haven't read that many R/LL fics. Most of what I've seen are H/LL, which doesn't do much for me.
I think you've touched on something here -- Luna's seeming "lunacy" lies in her effort to be different, to establish a distinction from the typical run of Ravenclaw braininess. And Ron ... not prattish, not a git but someone who, it would seem, would have to adapt to a changing world and life.
I love your last line: "Something told Ron that this was someone who had a bright outlook on everything. But it also seemed she’d made things seem a lot brighter for him as well. And he rather liked it.
And I rather like this ... I feel an inspirational plot bunny trying to stand up!
(No! No! NO! I still love R/N!)
