loved this chapter, dumbledore's burst of emotion there kind of threw me, but in a good way. i dont often see him display that kind of emotion over harry. im glad to see hedwig survived! i would've been terribly sad had she not. i always disliked that jk killed his companion!

I am so happy that Hedwig survived. I hated that JKR killed her off. I never got the point of that. Where was Hermione is all of this? I'm surprised that she wasn't up. I'm also curious to know hoe Voldemort found out about the Dursleys. Great job!

Thank you for not killing Hedwig. I never understood why Rowling did that, add to Harry's agnst? All's fair in war? Deaths happen? Pretty lame if you ask me...
This is a very good story. I enjoy reading it very much. Excellent job. One character note: I would have thought Mad Eye would just as easily say "Voldemort" rather than "You-Know-Who" considering that he's in Dumbledore's inner-circle. Although, I can't recall a moment in the books where Tonks said his name either... Remus did, frequently.
I'm eager to read more of Harry at the Grangers. It always interests me in seeing him with Hermione for periods of time, and in the company of the Grangers in general. Why on earth didn't JK write more of them in the books--probably because they would have tried to convice Hermione to marry Harry rather than Ron.
Keep up the excellent work!

Again, a very well written chapter and interesting.

The failure of the wards with the death of Harry's aunt make's sense so that explains that portion of the mystery. Now only remains Harry's mysterious rescuer.

Of course, the two main questions now would be where's Hermione and how did the Order know to find him there. Apparently asleep, so I'm guessing that Hermione might be relatively annoyed with her mother in the morning when she finds out Harry arrived without her knowledge.

Even more interesting than it was in the first chapter, looking forward to reading your next offering in this work

This is a very unique and very interesting story. I admit the summary made me skeptical but, I shouldn't have come to that hasty conclusion. This is rather interesting. I hope you continue it soon. I'd be interested in seeing where this goes. Especially if Harry is being taken in by the Grangers for the rest of the summer. Good job.

That was very much a roller coaster of a start, though just a bit confusing. Confusing in a good way, I suppose since it makes one want to read more to see if some of the things will sort themselves out.

Should be an interesting reunion at the Granger house in a bit, if they make it.

Looking forward to seeing the next installment to see how this all plays out.
