Aren't strong women wonderful? Seriously, Hermione was just what Harry needed to climb out of the pit he dug himself into after Sirius' death.

She's also what he needed when he spouted that nonsense about staying away from him because of Voldemort. .... Oh, how I could get up on a soapbox and rant about that and what we read in DH .... but I won't. Mostly because I know that:

A.) it would be like preaching to the choir and

B.) you've expressed it more eloquently than me elsewhere.

YEA!!!!!! Nice, nice one-shot. I love your writing. I have since the very first story (of yours) that I read. You somehow always completely pull me into your writing and make me believe in everything you're describing. It makes me wonder what you're like as a person and how you always manage to write just the exactly right thing for the story you've created.

Very good. An excellent look at his realization of what he should have known all along.

I could hear her telling him not to be an idiot, or at least any more of an idiot than he had to be.

A very well written scene, leaving your audience wondering exactly what kind of reaction would break out down in the kitchen as they entered.

Fantastic work, as always, bingblot! I especially liked the way you portrayed Hermione's gentle side, because so often authors tend to forget that part of her. As much as authors (and I speak as one of them, obviously) love to remind Harry that Hermione is a girl (and a fiesty one at that), they sometimes forget the sweet, nurturing side that we see in the quieter or softer moments of the books (the times when she nursed Harry all night in DH comes to mind). Thank you for such a sweet one shot!
