i'm disappointed to read this note. but as a writer myself i understand your decision. i'm glad you gave us readers a heads up about this .. and truly hope when you're ready and inspired once more .. that you'll return to this story. i would love to see where the rest of your thoughts and ideas for this plot would lead. i'll keep my eye open for any other stories you write til then. |

as for harry finding out, well better sooner than later, right? as for what you're wondering... well the entire point of this story is to keep you guessing. will she/wont she actually lose her memories, will he get to her in time, why did it end, etc...
but feel free to drop off predictions, i'm certainly intrigued as to what other might think...

i haven't been on portkey in years but i am so glad i came back and read this story first. because let me tell you .. you got be hooked and back on the h/hr ship =)
a absolutely brilliant story plot you got going. i especially enjoy hermione's pov and story about the major details of her life involving harry. i'm super interested to find out what happened to harry to lead to this plan of forgetting him.

First of all, I'd like to tell you that I like your story, I really do. But your story seems to go slowly with flashbacks that quite annoy me. 5 chapters and it has gone to nowhere. Do hope to see something happen to alert the readers next chapter.

Author Feedback: i'm afraid that the pace won't be speeding up much until after the procedure. the memories are rather crucial to the plot and the ultimate conclusion, so i apologize if i don't present that well enough and will try to ameliorate that and, hopefully, make it more likable!

Really good!. So all this reminicing that this person is asking Hermione to talk about, is it being erased as she is telling it? or is he trying to get to the memory of why Hermione was so hurt in the first place and erase only that part? and also in the process, erase her insucurities?. |
Author Feedback: this is during the procedure, she is slowly going through all of her memories of harry and, as the doctor explained in chaps 1 and 2, they are either being doctored or erased entirely [based upon their importance and whatever lessons they may have brought her]
as for why HHr aren't together anymore, well that's just an answer you'll have to wait for! |

I'm not trying to lay all the blame on Harry but either he is not being completely honest or he is oblivious and there are things going on in regards to this friend Melinda that he doesn't know about. I can can see Hermione being have questions or even jumping to conclusions to an extent but she's logical and it would have to be something big to trigger her wanting to do something as drastic as forgetting Harry. The fact that Harry seems to be totally disregarding how Hermione has been feeling about his working late and this hug with Melinda leads me to believe he has been taking her for granted and not truly listening to her. I'm not saying it's all Harry's fault maybe Hermione only voiced her concerns a few times but even Ron seems to think Harry has done something. |
Author Feedback: well the extent of that situation is something that will slowly be delved into more and more as the story goes on, but i will say that both are to fault here, though they often don't realize it.

First three chapters should be combined into one; fourth chapter feels massively incomplete. I know it may not seem like it, especially if writing is a struggle, but any chapter under 5000 words, especially in what is likely to be a long story, is too short. A reader barely gets into the flow of the dialog or narrative and is jerked to an abrupt stop. Makes it very difficult to enjoy a story. |

I can not wait to read more. What did Harry do to drive Hermione to such an extreme reaction that she wants to forget ever knowing him? I do not know but I hope Harry can find her and fix whatever he broke before she does forget. |

Ok, so it is the doctor that decides who replaces who, but still, Hermione went there for a reason. Seeing how highly she speaks of Neville, it seems pretty obvious that she wants him in her memories in the place of Ron or Harry. Now, you say she's angry at Harry, so the logical conclusion is to think that he did something and she doesn't want to remember him, because otherwise if it was Ron she wanted to replace, why would she go to the doctor just now, when she is angry at Harry? So while it will be the doctor's choice, still her aim seem to me to be to replace Harry with Neville...
