You know, up until I read your stories, I have never liked one-shots much. But whenever you post one, I can't help myself, I'm curious to see what you have written. And you've done it again. I liked it. Cake really is symbolic in this sense. Sweet, light-hearted fun. But at the same time, a dash of reality to ensure that it isn't overridden by fluff. Just right. I loved it.

This was very well written. I really like how you portrayed Hermione - so strong and independent - the way she really is. I especially love the ending sentence, about not ignoring symbolism. Very clever. Overall, lovely story. I enjoyed it a lot.
Author Feedback: thank you, i've spent so much time slavigtn over this fic (primarily b/c w hen i finished it i was afraid of the fact that i only wrote it in about 20 min and the fact that for soem reason i thought i might have mucked it up at some point but couldnt figure out where so i've spent more time re-readign thsi fic, uselessly so too, than i took to write it lol)
