Wow. This was a great piece of work. I never knew cake could be used for such... private affairs. And that was really sweet, how they came together... over a cake. Cake can really do wonders sometimes... The way you tied in how he hurt her, that was even better. Not many want to portray Harry as the one who hurts Hermione, they usually have Ron be the bad guy, nice to see something different. |

God... I love your fics, I have been reading the Kismet and all of the fics that came after that and they're great. This one was amazing, until the very end of the fic, I was thinking that their relationship wasn't going to work, but it did!! Jeje..

Well, it wasn't bad. Somehow, though, I don't like much stories where Harry hurts Hermione with something he says. He usually doesn't, That is Ron's job.
So yes, i find it quite strange that Harry would say somehting like that to her, especially I find it strange that he would want someone who always tells him yes as a girlfriend, like he implied. |

*gentle laughter* Ah, yes, the course of true love never runs smoothly. It sounds like they each had a few matters to work out and talk out, but once they did, both realized the solid truth uniting them. I can see why she'd struggle against it, and that he'd have trouble with it, but it appears to have worked out quite well in the end. *wicked grin* No doubt whoever is supplying them with various cakes is going to get a *lot* of repeat business from them. |

Heh, I missed the byline when I first started reading then when I got a few paragraphs in, I thought, "hmm this is actually pretty good writing".
I thought this would have been some sort of cheesy cake-is-sweet-and-so-are-we story, but you sure proved me wrong... this perspective on their relationship is actually pretty interesting -- and although it's not the usual PK piece, it was really intriguing to see a different side of the classic love story.
One complaint (quite tiny though) -- I was a little confused at around the 30-40% mark when you were switching a lot between scenes; I wasn't quite sure whether the scenes were chronologically tied or completely unrelated. I eventually guessed that they were chronological -- correct? |
Author Feedback: lol, the "cake-is-sweet-and-so-are-we" story idea,  , sadly io have seen fics along those lines (usuallty with chocolate though... and lily/jamess pairings, primarily) they really do make you want to roll your eyes in aggravation, dont they?
anwyay, glad to hear that i was able to sway your opinion in regards to it though, honestly, i was afraid that it might be total crap >.<
as for the scenes they were actually in chronological order: harry cheats on ginny> harry dumps ginny and comes to Hr>1st shag> 1st admittance of love> then the final fight
the amount of time that it skipped form wasnt equal, but the sequence was related, so good guess and i'm sorry for confusing you |

awww, this was cute. I liked the whole cake tie in, it was very clever. Also, I really enjoyed the fact that Harry and Hermione had 'problems'. It's a lot more realistic that the usual happily ever after that wre see in fan fiction, so kudos for that.
