So if Hermione turns 16 in September then she can legally leave her parents and got back to Hogwarts right? In the UK kids can leave school when they're 16 if they want and dont need parental consent...hence Fred and George leaving after their OWLS. So she would only have to wait a few weeks before she can leave the US.

This story was briiant, I havent read a story were hermione was taken out of hogwarts before so that was a shock but after getting further into the story it was really good and the description really painted a picture in my mind,
now I'm now going to read the sequel

good chapter, but you seem to be forgetting that Harry and Hermione etc.. are English, and so "mom" wouldn't be the term they'd use but "mum".
Sorry, I'm British so quirks like that get to me.

i really enjoyed this story......I like everything about it, well excpet for hermione leaving and almost dying, but I can over look that. It's BRILLIANT! what will you think of next!?

One bit of criticism first: Hogwarts isn't in London. It's much further north.

Anyway, I enjoyed the chapter anyway. Why wouldn't Hermione's parents let her continue with her magical education in the States thought? Hmm.
