Yes, they both learned from that separation and both are wise enough to admit to each other once they realize they won't get rejected. It's a very gentle story that works well, there's no sudden epiphany, just the slow growth of feelings between them, starting with friendship and ending with something much, much more deep, satisfying, and powerful.

Well, now, that sounds like an interesting trip and, truly, a case of "absence makes the heart grow fonder". If the same thing hit Hermione, the next day or so should get mighty interesting for both of them once they get around to admitting to each other how they feel. Still, the fact that he's not been intimate with any gal seems to indicate that he's holding out for a special one and, from what he's said, he's now with her. The fun will come in making her understand.

Great story I think the only thing that irks me a bit is that Harry went out and experienced life and got involved seriously with someone else and yet Hermione did not. Maybe she did and we just didn't get to see that and for me I would of liked to of read that.

Sweet and touchy confession! Rarely found even in the stories of a brilliant author like Bingblot, love it! Besides, HE told HER how SHE was precious to HIM, that's what I've longed to see when reading a fanfic. I don't understand why many other authors don't write the way you do. Top of most you had HIM say the words first, which rarely found too. Applaud!

Wonderful little story, Donovan. I liked the flow, easy and nice and warm. Love your characterization, by the way, even if I found a little off this having fun in Australia thing. It worked perfectly in the end.
