Nice little once shot - loved all the wonderful words - my favorite line: " Her mind was a flurry of thought and emotion, indistinguishable, merged into one dominant desire to cry her heart out - her entire sixth year, so far, had been alien from her accustomed way of confronting the issues in her life, up until then…now, disappointment after disappointment rained on every side, she was estranged from her friends for no logical reason, and in a word, her life held more challenging questions than answers… " There plenty of long, eloquent, passages - I would have loved to have seen more Harry and Hermione romantically - but the story over all was quite good. Excellent one-shot, really.

In this fic I was meaning to underscore the strength of the friendship that is the basis of the love that was never meant to be in canon...and the HH romance is definitely an eternal flower, at least to us...I'll try to emphasize it more in the next oneshot I do.

Author Feedback: It was the challenge I was limited by...it's from a few years back, in the HBP days, and then HH were not a couple, and Hermione was going through turbulent times, so romance was kind of thrown aside...here im only trying to say that friendship is the basis of love, and hinting towards HH in the future...but again, it was the challenge that limited me, else I'd have gone my own way with it. |
