when would ron have gone over to hermione's house to meet her parents and for her dad to give him that talk if they just decided last chapter to not get together? or was it that they were together and decided to break up?

Another good update. Not enough clues to guess where the plot is going, but things do seem to be getting interesting rather quickly.

It may just be me, but it seems that Ron and Hermione have an easier relationship at this point than Harry and Hermione. Their banter seems more playful and easy. I'm just hoping we see more interaction between H/Hr soon.

I'm a little confused about why Harry was unaware of Ron going to Hermione's house? (though his pouty jealousy was humorous) Typically, having to meet the parents and have the "talk" with the father is something best mates would have shared. I picture Ron telling Harry of his miserable experience as they prepare for bed one night at the Burrow. It seems odd that it wouldn't have come up already.

At any rate, I'm still enjoying the story. Regardless of plot, the basis of any worthwhile story is accurate and believable characters, and, so far, you've managed that fairly well.

Interesting development - I am very curious as to why Harry can't read the book - also the fact that Harry was upset that he hadn't been to Hermione's house was funny or maybe a sign of things to come....anyway, great chapter! Bring on the next one!

Ah, well, it's strange Harry can't read that journal. As for the rest of the chap, I didn't like that Ron was to Hermione's house and Harry didn't. Now Ron knows things of Hermione Harry does not.

I really like this so far. It's similar, but without being a rewrite and with fres ideas. I especially like this Harry can't read plotline you're going after. Please continue.

Okay so I love the whole slightly jealous Harry interactions with Ron and Hermione, very entertaining. Actually I loved the whole chapter and I can't wait to read the next one so update soon!

This is a good start to the story. I actually love how you are portraying Ron I am kind of sick and tired of Ron-Bashing fics. It's getting quite sad and tiring so this is a breath of fresh air. Ron is one of my fave characters in the HP universe. I guess I have always truly loved him. I think you portray him in character and I love it. It's great. The start was hilarious and drew us in with the Weasley's hiding from their mother. It's good that they decided to break-up. I just hope you won't put flirting a lot in because I just hate Ron and Hermione together it makes me gag. So are Harry and Ginny in an on-going relationship if so...I wonder how you will make him break up with her. I thought you did a great job at portraying her character. Hmmm not too sure I like the idea of her leading the DA I much prefer Neville he seems more driven and I dunno better for the job. I just don't see Ginny doing it because even if she was posessed she didn't fight him. Meh. I don't know because I always thought it was kinda dumb how they used that for H/G ship. But enough with the critiscm. You have great humour and great flow to your story and I am certainly looking forward to reading more of this. It has great potential. I am very interested in seeing how you will change things and make it your own and turn it to Harry and Hermione. But you made me feel sympathy for Ginny too. So I think it's a very good start and I hope to see more.
