I hope you do follow up this story. I think it would be interesting and even touching to have Hermione apologizing to the elves, perhaps even asking them if there's something she can do for them (like try to make abuse illegal). |

That was a good idea, although it could be followed up by another chapter where Hermione returns to the kitchens to publically apologize to the elves, specifically the SPEG members, for offending them and promising not to try to free them again. |
