I really love how she didn't say yes staight away.I've read heaps of fics where shes in love with him and he doesnt have a clue but then he asks her out the day he thinks shes hot or something.It's refreshing to read a story where he is sure he likes her.Exellent job, cant wait for more  |

It wasn't so much that Harry had a little too much firewhisky (not that it helped), but that Hermione wanted both of them to be totally sure about it--after all, if things didn't work out, there would be a chance they wouldn't stay friends. She refused his first offer with some lame excuse. Then when he asks again she shushes him because, apparently, the TV is more important than their relationship?
If I were Harry I'd run as far away from that girl as I could; he deserves better than that. Why the hell would she tell him to shut up when he's just asked a fairly important question, a question that she's wanted him to ask for a while now? She's nothing but a bint in this chapter and Harry should tell her to go to hell. |

That list she gave him is a load of bullshit... he asked her, didn't he? So why did she have to refuse if she likes him too?  And she even managed to confuse Harry about his own feelings with her silly doubts...
And the ending, while nice, wasn't exactly what I expected. He tells her he still wants to go out with her and she replies "Shh, this is the good part"? Come on... |
Author Feedback: Yes, he asked her. But if you notice, Harry didn't defend himself--he really hadn't thought that hard about it. It was one of his impulse decisions.
And after sort-of dating Ron, Hermione is bound to be extra cautious about Harry.
I know the chapter ending isn't going to be very popular, but I love the fact that she didn't actually have to say anything for Harry to understand that he'd been accepted this time. It's their quiet understanding that I like best about them, you see.
