Great one-shot, resally well written. Love that you saved Sirius! Nice Weasley-bashing too. And you've got to love Luna and her refreshing outspokenness... |

Merry Chritmas...two months late
Anyway great fic! I really enjoyed reading it! |

Two words: absolutely amazing. Your work, especially Circle's End, has been some of my favorites on portkey. You capture Harry and Hermione so well. This is why H/Hr works! I can't wait for more stories |

Lovely story, I always love how you manage to capture Harry and Hermione as I so wished them to be and not the "could have been's" that they ended up as in Canon.
I really enjoy your Christmas stories and I'm following "Looking Glass" just as eagerly.
Thanks for the Christmas present. |

Nice once shot, very nice. Only problem I had, is basically the same problem I have with almost every portkey writer, in that they tendency is to make Harry into a huge pile of angst. Conversly, Hermione, is so strong that 100 of her on kin could die in front of her, and she would shrug it off...
A little extreme perhaps, but the facts remain the same.
At any rate I do like it, it was excellent. Although, maybe just maybe one day you could write a fic, where Harry is the strong one? |

Realized that I had never reviewed this one.
I love that quote.
Always fun to Weasley bash, especially when Luna's involved. |

Delightful story. The sex was delicious (tho there could have been more - especially about her library fantasy).
Thanks! |

This was a beautiful story. I love the way you brought them together as well as brought Sirius back from the Veil. I also very much enjoyed the way you wrote the idiot Ron and his skank sister. I never thought those two were right for Harry and Hermione and I like to see other people notice it too. And to have them dosing Harry for schemes to make them main in his life, then banished. I loved it. |

That was a fantastically written one-shot! WOW! This is defenitely one for the favorites list. Loved the story, the writting and the characters. Great work! |

A nice bit of fluff. For somewhere not set anywhere in particular, you certainly have a lot of unnecessary elements running around, for example Luna and to a lesser extent, Sirius. I like Luna, don't get me wrong, I just don't understand why she is in what appears to be a one shot.

Great Story as always ... This was a wonderful Christmas Present to those of us who have adored your writing for years.
Hope the New Year brings us much more storytelling from my favorite MadScientist! *grin*
I myself am planning to start writing in earnest again real soon ... as soon as I find a place to live.
You are one of the best Mike.
Take Care and Happy New Year
As Always,
Muirnin - who loves trying to read your writing at work ... with out getting into trouble! |

I clicked on this because it's a completed one shot - just what I'm looking for at this moment. And then I find the Heinlein quote. I'm in.
And now I'm reading...
Just hit the Amortentia bit...not my cup of tea that whole Bad-Ginny-Tricked-Harry thing, but am going to continue because the rest of the storyline holds such promise...
I love your idea of Harry's magic - it's "size" so to speak.
OK, now I'm laughing!! I thought the Christmas crackers were the bon-bon type - that you pulled with another person and got a hat and a joke and treat - but I've just discovered they're something you eat!! I'm a bit of a goose!
Despite the matchsticks holding my eyes open (I REALLY need to go to bed!) I managed to get to the end! I really enjoyed your narrative style and the dryness of much of Harry and Hermione's verbal interaction, very humorous - which all sounds like a mouthful but just means it was a great read!
Well done and thank you! (And if I wasn't so tired I'd no doubt commnt on many other excellent "bits" - sorry...but I need to !)
Cheers,
JanieB |
