Very powerful/intriguing topic, that of addressing any discrepancy in lifetime expectancy due to their differing parentage, but for this story to work as you intended I really think you should change all occurrences of 'muggle' to 'muggle-born'. Hermione's parents are muggles; she's a muggle-born witch. it's a big error in your story.

Actually I've never liked JKR's saying that Harry is a 'half-blood', he's not really, in my opinion, he's a full-blood; both his parents were magical. Dean Thomas, or Seamus, with one muggle parent and one magical, are the true 'half bloods'.

The difference between Harry and Draco is that Harry is a full-blood wizard, but Draco is a full-blood wizard whose family tree is full-blood for many generations back.

Still, JKR decided to call both Harry and Seamus - and Riddle - 'half bloods', even though, as I said, I think she's demonstrably wrong in giving Harry the same status as the other two.

Interesting that you connected life expectancy to a wizard's parentage. I've always thought it was more related to the wizard's own level of magic; Dumbledore lived a long time because he was a very powerful wizard, etc.

Quite the tender and loving look at the Potters, there. I love the interplay between the different characters, you've caught them all quite well. It would be interesting to see more of the background for this story and where some other folk are, but this is a delightful stand-alone story by itself.
