This is soo adorable!! Please update soon! Colby seems like such an adorable child. I want to know more about his background and I see a little foreshadowing as to why he doesn't response to touch....UPDATE SOON!!!

The last chapter was interesting in how harsh Harry was to Hermione, especially if they are dating as this chapter implies. It sounds in character that he would be so stubborn, but I'm not sure if Hermione would have given in so easily about the whole situation. Does Colby know anything about magik? Wasn't his mom magikal, too?

Haha. "The talk" One more thing that separates wizards from muggles. I like the idea of this story, and how it has played out so far. You don't see too many "Siruis leaves Harry with a child" fics. Even the "some Dursley leaves Harry with a child" is more popular. Great start!

Hmm, and now we know that Sirius' son is definitely magical and Harry discovers one of the "joys" of parenting, how children can manage to make intimate moments that much less common among adults. In addition to the "talk" about magic, I do think Harry needs to have a long talk with Colby about the treatment he got from his grandparents since Harry's early life give him the experience to relate to. It should be interesting to see how Colby grows in a supportive and loving environment (though it sounds like Harry has quite come to understand all that involves).

Very cute Harry/Hermione scene! Yes, Harry, you did turn out alright. I'm looking forward to seeing how the talk about magic goes.

Interesting beginning! I feel bad for Celeste. She loved Sirius, and never got a chance to be with him out in the open. I'm very curious as to where this story is going.

Hmm, I can't blame Harry for his decision. I'm really surprised that he didn't use the arguement that Colby was the responsibility of House Black and, as head of family, -his- responsibility, other reason notwithstanding. I do have to wonder about Hermione's attitude toward this, since it sounds her interests have swung toward Harry rather than Ron (not that I can really blame her, though - admittedly, -this- Ron doesn't seem as much a prat). I am surprised that she didn't insist on an early visit to Gringott's tomorrow for a Heritage Ritual, to make sure Colby was Sirius' child.

Hmm, well, I reckon I saw that coming and it makes sense that her impending death forced her to reach out to Harry. Harry being who/what he is, won't be able to resist taking this boy in, esp. since the child's early experiences resonate so strongly with what Harry went through at the Dursley's. What will be "educational" is to watch the reactions of Harry's friends and of the wizarding world at large to this situation. It will certainly help show Harry his -real- friends.

Excellent story so far. I do hope Harry manages to work through that emotionless mask Colby seems to wear, it seem way too familiar to him. Perhaps a bit of sharing about his early years might help build bridges there.
