I loved this story! It was great! I wanted more just after James and Lily got together in the room of requirement though. A good sex scene would have been fantastic!

It's a little late for me to get into the review game, I suppose, but better late than never. I wanted to review for the last chapter voting for an epilogue, but I'm not sure I did.
Anyway, I loved your story. I'm not sure when I found it, but I'm thinking it was around chapter four or five, and I've been lurking ever since. I loved the idea and liked the way you portrayed the characters.
As sad as I am to see this end, I think that this epilogue has closed the story off nicely, and I can't wait to read more of your work.
Come to think of it, I've actually read "To Wash the Black Dog," but I haven't reviewed for that, either. Sorry about that. Now that I'm an active portkey user, I'm more apt to leave reviews.
So, anyway, love your stories and I loved The Trade Off. Can't wait to read whatever else you have! |

Rather gripping way to begin, I just love your writing. It's really, really wonderful. The characters, the descriptions, the emotions, it's all so natural, I feel like I'm just reading a regular book. Poor Peter, it's not really his fault that he has no freaking idea what just happened. Poor Sirius, he needs someone to take care of him. Did Alice and Frank get out okay? I love Sirius. I love that you're letting him be mature, so few writers seem to do that, but I think that Sirius dee down inside is really quite mature, as much as Remus or James, he just doesn't show it unless he needs to. And now he needs to. Eek, poor James. I really do feel quite sorry for him.
I'm going to say, I liked the story up until the last line. It doesn't quite fit the rest of it. Did you just want to finish up? I mean, I understand that James would stop being mad after that, but still.
I'd like an epilogue! |
Author Feedback: Yeah, I know. Its seems like a cop out, but the chapters were just getting WAY TOO LONG. I am a weakling... I shoud be beaten.. really not, but still. I realized that after re-reading a few times to see if it needs a epilogue or not. The sentiment is that I really should do one.
Now if I could get people to be so interested in my actual writing, then I would be set for life! LOL... not really, but I will write an epilogue. Especailly since your reviews were so long! LOL.

Ooh, I like how they all suddenly need to leave James alone with Lily. How convenient. Shopping in Paris and Milan? Lucky Lily! Ooh! Kissing, oh my James and Lily. Goodness, James and Lily are quite intense. Ooh, look at what he said! How very very intense. EGADS. James' parents. Dear god. That is slightly mortifying. Haha, it's so odd to hear them discussing it afterwards. Ooh, I wonder what happened between Lily and Sanpe in the missing pages. Oh no! Poor Sirius. I feel rather bad for him. Interesting to see a fanfic writer have him fall for someone other than an OC. I rather like it. Oh no! You just killed Mr. Potter! Oh no! Mrs. Potter as well!!! What a cliff hanger, jeez! |

oo la la! That was marvelous! I absolutely loved it! This story is amazing! I loved how both Lily and James went to the Quidditch Pitch when they got sad or angry! It was sooo cute! I am so glad that Severus and Lily didnt do anything! That would have been completely gross!
I hope that you have another story out soon! I cant wait to read it!

I have a few things I am mulling over, and I paused my H/Hr story Separated for the time being (though I have 2 chapters I am working on). Distant and aloof? James may try, but he's certaintly going to have a hard time. I love your dialogue writing, it just flows so naturally and each character has its own voice. Lily has road rage! Love it. Quack? Hee! I love Sirius. He's fantastic. Such a teenage boy, isn't he? I love how Sirius is looking out for James. Your characters have enough dimensions to make them believable people, it's really wonderful. |

Author Feedback: Finally! I moved someone to tears... tired or not! I really liked this chapter, and the finally chapter is actually written and on my key chain ready to be uploaded. It is the final chapter in this saga, and I hope that it ends as hoped (well, we all knows how it ends, eventually, but for the sake of this time, I hope that it ends ok). I am not sure if after chapter ten if it will need an epilogue, and I am hoping that my readers can let me know. I have seen that most want one, I am not sure as to whether this particular vein needs one or not.

As for the duck, it hold little significants except her dad has passed away and this was something small he had given her as child. It is something she can carry with her, and always have a piece of her father near by.
The next chapter is in the works, I swear, and I hope the length is ok. I noticed that they are tending to be longer than chapters in previous stories. |
