holy. worse than the Saw series in terms of gore. (compliment, man) Well written, though. I don't think I've read a fic where Harry and Hermione were crazier. What was the inspiration, though? I finished the Sword of Gryffindor tonight as well and the Scream series and SoG are so different.... seriously, opposite ends. Really liked them, though, continue writing

Well, I guess I could rail about being out of character. But the truth is, I love this story and its twisted premise. While in real life I believe in forgiveness, I have to admit there are times when torture seems like a much better idea. Not many, but you have created a scenario where it seems even loving in a twisted way. Great story!

Oh that was so very, very disturbing.

And yet... with the horrors you have inflicked upon Harry and Hermione it is so very, very right. Because Hermione is the brightest Witch of her age and she would understand just what kind of wonderful toy Voldemort would make with his inability to truly die.

I'm probably going to special kind of hell, but I really to enjoy your "Screams" stories.

You are really good at writing this kind of stuff. I hope that you can get back to writing “Harry Potter and the Sword of Gryffindor”. That is an awsome story. Hopefully you can find your muse for it soon.

I love your Screams series. I do agree with Trumpa on one point - the rating should probably be upped. Not that a rating would keep a younger person from reading it, probably the opposite.

I don't think Trumpa's objection has anything to do with "church" as another reviewer so snidely stated - he/she just objected to it. In all honesty, you told us it was dark and if they don't want to read this type of thing, they shouldn't. But - just because someone objects, don't assume it's because of church. That's ridiculous.

Keep up the good work - this series is terrific.

Oh and even though everyone is entitled to a say, some people should be locked up for being a 'goody two shoes'.

I wish I had the power of ripping apart a person with wit and sarcastic humor like Zacharias Smith in Lighting on a Wave's 'Sacrifices' Arc, but I don't. So I say this.

I couldn't help but laugh when I read that last line. Morbid humor, I suppose. Though this, and the other stories of the 'Screams' series are just what alot of stories are missing when they try to delve into supposed Dark Harry/Hermione.

The thing of it is, they don't delve hard enough. This is like all the best bits of Saw and Hannibal, shoved into one of my favorite universes and shaken until it slots into place. And it does, like a masterpiece; painted red.

I do hope you ignore reviewers like Trumpa. You know, you warn people that it's dark and evil. Like they say about slash, "If you don't like (and I don't), don't read."

But to read it and then rake you over the coals - well, poor little Trumpa. His sensibilities were offended.

Keep it up serpentclone - the rest of us are enjoying seeing the dark side of our heroes.

Hum, you should definately raise your PG13 rating to NC17... Riped off members, sodomy, torture usually comes with a higher rating.

I really don't know what to say about this one... Rape, torture and humiliation performed by Harry and Hermione? Disgusting, all of it, and done with a sick liking... and I don't mean by Harry and Hermione, I mean by the author.

I've never read a torture fic written with such warmth. It was like torture-porn. And this is no compliment, this fic genuinely grossed me out.

Not only you bring some terrible mental pictures to the reader, but you seem to relish in all of that violence! And you completely destroyed and violated the authenticity of two of the most genuine and interesting fictional characters ever put on paper.

And honestly, it feels like if you had only written this fic to have Voldemort butt-raped. This makes me think that you are some kind of lunatic, lurking, psycho-rapist that should be locked away for the greater good... I could be wrong, but that's what I think.

Do us all a favor and keep your twisted fantasies to yourself next time.

The stories that are part of the "Screams" universe stand w/a series of ficlets written by Goldy as my favorite Dark!H/Hr fics. This installment w/Voldemort coming to regret his imortality is a really nice touch. At this point though, I'm really not sure what else you could do w/the characters. I actually think it would be pretty funny if Voldemort ended up helping/healing H/Hr (helping Hr recover her health, maybe repairing H's tongue) in exchange for his death.

WOW - man o man - that was sick and SOOOO justified. As deranged and H and Hr are, it's wonderful to see V being tortured and begging, "Please. Please stop."
