Harry Potter as Cinderella? Meant to be. I'm a little surprised I haven't seen a billion Harry/Cindy crossovers (or however we'd call it... conversion maybe?) because if anybody was a Cinderella it's Harry.
Now that you've had the idea and written it down in a bit of a modern fairy tale with a happy ending... well, it's all so obvious to me.

I had my reservations about this story because I wasn't sure which version of Cinderella you were going to be using (A Cinderella Story w/ Hilary Duff, Ever After, or animated). To me, it seemed to pull a little from both the animated version and the Hilary Duff one...I thought it was well done and really cute!
Sleeping Beauty is one of my favorite Disney animated movies so I am eagerly awaiting what you have in store for our favorite couple! |

Author Feedback: Oh, you'll definitely be seeing more fairy tales. I'm half done with the next one, and I've got like six or seven more in the works (at least...I love fairy tales). And they'll definitely be HP (though not all are H/Hr...there's a R/L, N/G, J/L and maybe even a RL/NT. Most of them are H/Hr though...what can I say, they're my favorite ship!) hmm, am wondering a bit about the series...are they all HP/HG or will they involve other characters (perhaps ones that attended the party?)
It also would've been cool if Ad came back & repaired the tux that belonged to harry's dad for HP to wear at his wedding...what can I say, I'm a sentimental sap

As to your question, no, they're not all HP/HG. The next one, Petrified Princess, is, but it's not like Reverse Cinderella in that it isn't modernized (although it is a bit different from the traditional stories...Hermione isn't raised by fairies, she and Harry meet as children and become best friends, and other things here and there, but it basically follows the idea). The third one will kind of be a sequel to Petrified Princess, but will feature Ron and Luna in a Rapunzel story. After that I've planned a Hogwarts version of Snow White with James and Lily. I've toyed with doing a Tonks/Remus Beauty and the Beast (though I'd probably have to post it at ff.net. I'm just not sure about how to go about it, particularly writing a mean Remus. I love Remus too much). And after the Snow White story, there will be at least two more Harry/Hermione stories (Aladdin and Peter Pan...I'm super excited about Peter Pan!) and a Draco/Ginny version of Rumplestiltskin. I may or may not add others to the series after all these are finished, because I've also planned a historical series. It all just depends I guess.
And yeah, I never really thought about the tux after the second chapter, but that would have been cool.

interesting masquerade ball when you can tell you everyone is. And wouldn't that make it eazier for HG to figure out who 'james' really is? All she would have to do is find out who wasn't accounted for at the ball & research them

Author Feedback: Yeah...I sorta forgot it was supposed to be a masquerade. But even if everyone was wearing masks, it would sort of be easy to figure out who they were. Obviously, everyone would have to know which one was Hermione; it was her party. Her friends would be easy to figure out because they were around her, and you can differentiate them by hair and skin color. Same with the boys (especially Draco) and Dudley (kinda hard to miss, even when not in spandex, eh?). Silly me and my continuity issues. I just got kinda carried away by the fluffiness I guess. okay, AD as a fairy godfather...that is quite interesting, but, well, I suppose it's better than Snape (which would be quite funny esp if he had to dress the part-meaning no BLACK).
"Prove it," Harry said. Dumbledore pointed his stick at Harry and said, "Petrificus totalus." Harry suddenly found himself unable to move.
Interesting spell AD used to prove to HP that magic existed, if I was harry, I wouldn't be all that sure that I would trust him, then again, I'm not a teen eager to go to a party.

And as for the spell, it was kinda just the first one that popped into my head. But I agree, if I was Harry, I would feel a lot better trusting him had he conjured a candy bar or something. Thanks for reading and reviewing!

very interesting...I was wondering if you were going to have HG host the party, since that's how the 'fairy tale' originally has it. Another way would be for Dudley to host it (as a way to gain friends & his parents to get contacts). Imagine HP trying to attend that party in his own home! |
Author Feedback: I never really thought about having Dudley having the party, but that could have been very hilarious. He's such a screwup.  Although if I did have Dudders hosting the party, I probably would have moved the location to like a local hotel or something. The Dursleys' doesn't sound big enough to hold the whole school (though if it had been Dudley, I'm sure far fewer people would have showed up!) Thanks for reading and taking the time to review!

This is the second time I have been mentioned in a fic.. I'm so touched. You didn't need to thank me that way.. I reviewed from the start because this story deserved it.. Well anyway, enough crying. I would like to congratulate you for a job well done in this story. Don't worry, I'll be reading and reviewing (if I don't get lazy..
