And I liked it when you made it very clear that Draco was special because he bossed Hermione. Before that, I thought that maybe Harry would have felt better if Hermione dind't rely on him just like she did on Draco.

I have to say this was an interesting story. It had a nice steady pace, with just enough angst to give some scenes a slightly starper edge to them.

The characters felt a little off to me, but then again, this isn't exactly a situation I would expect to find them in.

I mean, I wouldn't expect Hermione to be so forgiving or understanding (never mind accepting) that the man she was about to marry was having an affair. And I don't think she would have kept her engagment to said man if she suspected him of infidelity.

But for the desired end you were seeking for this story, the characterization you selected does work. Because she doesn't really wish bad things to happen to Brad. She was more upset with herself for not realizing sooner that he was unfaithful to her, and that she wasn't really *happy* so much as content for settling somewhere lower then second best.

And Draco as the last ditch 'civilizing' influence on Hermione? Briliant! Every woman deserves to have a good gay man in her life. They are wonderful compaions to have. I can see the OOCness in Draco's cahracter, but considering the past events that you have put him through, the changes in his character are relieving (because the rejection of his family didn't really make him bitter or more crule, and he found happiness and love just the way he is without being forced to be something he wasn't).

Over all it's a lovely story. And now I'm off to write you an e-mail!

*laughs wickedly* That's quite a story and the ending is both hot and totally appropriate. It's obvious that -this- Draco, as much due to his orientation as to any personal attitudes, isn't the one we've seen and, all things considered, he's a much nicer person and I can see why Harry called him in. The end play with chocolates was quite the touch and I suspect they're going to be giving quite the standing order to Draco, undoubtedly much to his, and his partner's, amusement.

“If it was the only way I could be with him, then yes, I was prepared to assume that role,” she finished sadly. “It might make me seem weak, but I couldn't help it. The only thing I regret is having hurt you, since I admire you so much.”

I'm sorry, but that's ridiculous. If a woman said that to me after I found out she'd been screwing my fiancee behind my back for six months, she'd get bitch slapped. Not even for the deceit, but for the sheer poor taste of her actually trying to kiss my ass after she just shagged my man. If she really admired me, she'd flat out tell me the truth.

As for Hermione not hexing the guy, I think it had more to do with her realizing she really didn't love him than any real fear of Azkaban. I think I understand why you did it, but it was less genuine than it could have been IMHO.

The smut was hot.

All in all the characters didn't display as much courage or anger as I would have expected them to in this situation, but gay!Draco made me laugh and H/Hr together in the end is always wonderful. Post more soon.

It was cute but like you said a little ooc of a few characters. I enjoyed it.
