Very well written one-shot that nicely covers what should have happened after the end of OOTP. I like how both had been keeping their feelings in reserve and how this situation brought them forcibly out; at least they had the wisdom to follow those feelings intead of repressing and ignoring them. I suspect that Ron's not going to be happy about it, but that's his problem, not theirs; the same with Ginny. I do have to wodner if Harry & Hermione will be welcome at the Burrow after this.

Good story, even if it is a bit commonplace to be quite honest - has been done in a similar way loads of times already. Credits for not going into smutty details, though.

*melts* Damn I love this fic so much. I would tell you all the lines I loved but I'd end up quoting the entire fic back to you. Suffice to say, I love it all!! I love the way you write Harry and Hermione. I love Harry's anger and I love how Hermione comforts him (and is the only one brave enough to do so). I love the sweetness of the love-making.

And this…this was the most alive she’d ever felt, with his hands on her skin, trailing fire over her naked body. Feeling him and his heavy gasps of breath against her ear…she wanted to give him everything, and take everything in return…all of her for all of him. It was hardly an even trade, but it was the best she could offer.

Her certainty, her love, her fate was sealed by the way he said her name when he entered her…a mix of awe and wonderment, tenderness and affection, and pure want. His voice was thick with desire and painful pleasure, just as she was feeling. He was her world in that moment, her breath and life. And he brought her to the sweetest ecstasy she had ever known.

Wow, great story, I only wish it wasn't a One Shot. It would be a great prologue for a 6th year fic. Anyways, if you continue it or not, still a good story. I have always thought that Harry and Hermione should of gotten together after the whole Ministry incident in OOtP, the way Harry reacted when Hermione was hurt just screamed that he had feelings for her, but I guess JKR had different ideas. Anyways, good job, good writing and nice dialog.

I wish that was the way it could be. They belonged together. Their destinies inextricibly tied together. He just needed to really look at her and she at him. This was beautifully done!
