This is the only acceptable way for an affairfic between Harry and Hermione to end, with them telling their respective spouses the truth, divorcing and then marrying.

So many people forget a simple truth when they envisage the 'secret affair so we don't hurt our spouses' scenario. Above and beyond the fact that Harry and Hermione are too effing honorable to keep living a lie once they realize their true feelings, they would be doing something worse than cheating on their partners. By staying in loveless marriages they would be denying Ron and Ginny the chance to find someone who actually loves them the way they believe their current spouses do. That way everyone, including the children, get cheated over the long haul. So all in all, a good example of one of my less favorite genres.

I don't like affair fics either, but I have to read yours, because, honestly, you are an awesome writer. I understand that being Harmonians, after DH, we have to use thiese methods to keep our ship alive. But well, that doesn't mean we have to like them. If JKR, after OOTP, had continued the story as it should have, we wouldn't have to write affair fics (I like the stories better when Ron and Ginny die after the epilogue or even before).

However, you deserve the biggest congratulations ever for keeping our ship alive and filling our days with your always wonderful stories.

That was lovely. So heartbreaking. I'm quite sad that it had to end the friendship, but I don't think how something likethat could be reconciled. I'm not a big fan of affair fics, like I've said before, but it's always interesting to read.

That's definitely a poignant, but ultimately happy, story. I did think it good that they were upfront and honest with Ron and Ginny and didn't try to hide anything. I suspect there was quite the scandal over this, and that neither Potter will be welcome at the Burrow for a long, long time to come (not sure if they'll consider this good, bad, or simply a bit sad). It was quite the well written story and I did enjoy it.

Its endearingly sad yet the hhrness of it is hauntingly lovely. And I guess only an hhr fanfic writer could do it, and with amazing finesse at that. Thanks for a wonderful fic. A balm to the wearied soul is what this fic offers.

I hate affair fics, I truly detest them. When I read, half the time I want something I can escape into for a while, and affair fics are too *real* for that. And yet, for some reason, I love your affair fics. It makes no sense, but I really do love them all. This one...I hurt for Ron and Harry and Hermione, but I was glad too, because you made it so *right* that they be together. The part about the death knell of their friendship made me wince, but the ending made it worth even that loss. Great story!
