I can only speak for myself but I would totally love to read a sequel. It was a good closing to this fic, I only wish that you would have included more converstion between the other couples once the Howarts express departed the station. Overall, good fic! |

Yeah, I probably should have included more dialogue, but I was aiming for an ending, similar to the one of The Count of Monte Cristo...wait and hope are the closing words of that book, and I kind of wanted to integrate it here too.

*laughs gently* Well, now, that was a fine wrap-up to the story, letting us see how things worked out "down the line". It's good to see all three couples are on friendly terms with each other. I like the bits left here as the source of a "the next generation" story. I daresay that the new generation will have just as many adolenscent trials and tribualations as did their parents, though I doubt any of them will have a prophecy hanging over them. |

The three couples have to be on good terms...they're above Hogwarts-age petty arguments...and the next gen story is indeed going to sprout from the elements left in the epilogue...and yes, I already have a plot idea for the sequel...it will involve tribulations and trials, as you say, and chances are, there will be no prophecy, but the plot will be just as intriguing, because I have much more room to manoveur than this story.

Well, a sequel is always appreciated...but if you do it, make sure you include the original characters as much as you can! I don't know if you have read the Dirty Dancing universe from Amynoelle and Heaven but their stories, especially the last, merge perfectly the original characters and the new generations, with many different storylines, some involving the youth, some the elder generations, some affecting both... |
Author Feedback: Oh yeah, definitely...I'll keep the original characters as much as possible, but the next gen kids are not very well developed as characters...and I've read though the Dirty Dancing universe...it's a massive story, and it's pretty amazing....

Author Feedback: It's what I think too...thus the sequel, because a next gen fic pretty much frees me from the canon requirements I have to comply to otherwise...the characters are not developed at all, and it'd give me a chance to be a lot more inventive with them and the plot. This story was mainly to rectify DH...or just a continuation of it, let's say...

Well - you finished it nicely. I'm not sure about a sequal, but this story stands nicely on its own & I'm glad that I got a chance to read it. You've shown yourself to be a really good writer and everyone on PK should appreciate the time you took to write a clean (and I mean no errors that I could find) and thoughtful story.
I, for one, hope that you don't leave us - but rather keep writing.

Good resolution chapter, there, as the different couples prove to be a bit more adapting than their parents. *chuckle* I wonder if that had the effect of shaming their parents into opening their minds more and accepting the various changes? Especially so because all six principals involved in this shifting have not resorted to atagonistic relations but are all happy with how things have sorted out. It ill behoves the parents to keep fighting when their grown kids have made their decisions and are, at a minimum, quite happy about the outcomes. |

It was my intent to show Harry and co. as more adaptive than their parents...and the latter fought, but they had to accept it in the end, so shaming them in an open mind might have been the case...
Mud-slinging between them would have been useless...showing one side to be the one with bigger people is a much better way to solve a conflict rather than having them mad at each other forever.
And the parents can't fight forever...grudgingly, they have accepted it.
