I liked it as always. I don't think that there has been a story yet that I haven't liked from you.

Wonderful as always! I liked how it started out with Harry sitting quietly with Ginny, but it was Hermione he was thinking about. I also liked how they were still missing Ron, particularly the bit where Harry was thinking about what Ron would do with Mrs. Weasley's hints; I thought that was very realistic. I really enjoyed how Harry concluded he liked just spending time with Hermione but didn't with Ginny, and how he realized he shouldn't have to be pretending to be happy. The ending was tantalizing! I'd love to see the fallout, and Harry and Hermione's relationship progressing.

Reading this reminded me of all the ideas that had fluttered around in my mind about the possible outcome of Deathly Hallows. Members of the trio dying, or *not* dying, pairings I knew I would not like, etcetera. The actual DH was a bizarre experience for me -- it was nothing like reading the earlier books. I felt completely separated from what was going on, disconnected from the story and its characters. But reading fanfic like this only reminds me that I'm still connected to these characters... only now they exist outside the actual novels in fanfiction. Here are Harry and Hermione as I know them, and I'm so happy to know that I'll still be able to find them now that DH is over and done.

Short and poignant, but effective. Obviously the things that tied him to Ginny were nowhere near as powerful as though tying him to Hermione. It would be most interesting to see sequels to this one-shot as things developed between them. I rather suspect both would move slowly at first, and then matters would accelerate.

It's a shame that we only got an ending with DH , but I am sure that, if we had the chance to have a new beginnig, this will be it.
