My dear Janie, I think you have outdone yourself! Truly!
This was a heart-stopper of a chapter!
First, there was the chilling setup of Annice's planned attempt on Harry's (and everyone else's) life at Hogwarts. The anticipation as we "watch" the Good Guys gather, knowing an attack is on its way is like sitting next to a powder keg - then the patronus wolf's entrance lights the fuse! With the lynx's arrival, the keg explodes and all hell breaks loose, and then...
'I have everything to live for.'
* dies!*
If that wasn't a Star Wars-like epic romantic moment in an epic story, then I don't know what is!
The battle was brilliantly done - perfect pacing, and seamless point of view changes, and great surprises: Harry apparates, then flies! I think the explanation of flying being a leftover from Voldemort makes sense, and is very plausible. I can't wait to hear how Harry apparated!
I really think this is your best yet, Janie! The tension, the love, the battle, the rage, the relief... * takes deep breath *
Simply, amazing.

I'm finally getting to review. I really love this story and have really missed it while you've not been able to work on it. I can definitely say, though, that the wait was more than worth it. The interplay between the characters is just as well thought out and wonderfully written as always. The only thing I saw that I thought odd was the reference to Cynric being the earliest "descendent" of the Riley family. In my puny brain, I think he would be the earliest "ancestor" of the family, wouldn't he? Hm..

The "summary" from Hermione was splendid, and was really true to her character (but then, that's nothing new for you, my dear..). Can't wait to read the next section!

Wow its so cool to be visting the "Nook" again!....Sorry for the interuption. Oh wait I guess you couldn't know that, you see My friend just called about another Trublood dinner party a friend of ours is having. Should be fun, sort of a warm up for Halloween. I forgot, do you have that show there? Watch it? It stars Anna Paquine[?] who I think lived in Oz for a while or something, keep meaning to look that up.

Anyway I was talking about Nook. Whenever someone hasn't been able to post for a while, I always wish they would do a quick recap because its hard to remeber what has happened.And you gave us one and worked into the story! And in Hermione's own words, so score! Very clever of you. Like I said earlier, I liked the darkness of the new interlude, those are all very well done.
The H/Hr interactions were of course great. Can't wait to see what are in the memories. I liked the charm that wouldn't allow any signer to talk about the contents, though if they were captured that would make it so much worst on them!

It has been rough seeing my mom, though I tried to accept it as quickly as possible and just get on with it. It was sad, she didn't really get anything out of the one time I took her used bookshopping, which used to be our favorite thing to do together. She has seemed to enjoyed my visit so that really is the important thing.

Well its getting late again and I have a lomg drive back home tomorrow so I should probable go.

So wonderful to have you back! And the wonderful Nook!

Wow! I've only just discovered this story, and I've been reading it on and off all day. It's FANTASTIC. Can't wait to read more - and I love all of the connections you've made between Ron and Luna, Ginny and Dean, Dean's family, etc. It's been refreshingly complex and interesting, and it will be great fun to see how it plays out.

Just quickly as I am so very y and I have to wake up early to visit my Mum. Not looking forward to the 5 1/2 hour drive and this is the first visit in awhile so I think it will be hard to deal with how advanced her Alzheimer has gotten. It will be good to see her again though, and I should have time to read and write more.

You are back in fine form! I can only imagine how much work that summary must have been, but totally worth it! Thank you so much for taking the time (and not inconsiderable effort!) to do that for us!
As always, you descriptions are so vivid - not only of the settings and actions, but also of the characters and their emotions. I got chills with Annice's sycophantic ecstasy, felt the comfort and love from just a touch between Harry and Hermione, and of course a pang of sadness with the thought of Colin's demise. You also deftly weave canon with your original elements (the Armarium and viewing the content of the book, but most of all that horrible lake and the cave). There is so much going on! I can't wait for the meeting at Hogwart's, and I am worried about Harry and everyone close to him!
Congratulations on your triumphant return, Janie! I'm excited to see the next chapter, and the rest of the story!

Hope you are doing well. It's 11:00 AM so were about 13 hours from HBP Wondering if you saw it already at a Midnight sneak or if your waiting til the morning like a sane person We'll be there hoping for the best.
Lets see what didn't I put in my last E-mail? Survived and enjoyed another PTUP bike tour. Were really in to the HBO vampire series True Blood and went to a dinner party with that as the theme. Following the Tour De France, seeing if Lance can possibly pull off another win.
Well must go lots to do before work then HBP hope you loved it or will love it
