That was interesting. Odd, but good. Harry reminded me somehow of Heathcliff, you know, the guy from "Wuthering Heights", he was bad-tempered too. I never expected that harry would act like that, but it's understandable after all he had gone through and well, he's a guy  |

haha, wow. Ok, I didn't really laugh the first time I read this, but the second time through, it really is hysterical.
Harry's reaction was very random the first time I read it, and I didn't really like it that much. I thought it was TOO ridiculous and out-of-place. I didn't think it was very appropriate for the characters.
But then, I went back, and I see what you mean when you said that in the older films and books, couples don't really date. They've known each other long enough. It's not about dating and being stereotypical. And I couldn't see Harry and Hermione just dating after the biggest war of the wizarding world.
I loved the wedding dress. I just like those scenes and can imagine them really well. Whenever a girl is in a wedding dress, but not getting married. That carries so much significance (and it's oddly ironic, isn't it?)

I can certainly see why people might be put off with Harry's sudden burst of temper, but I don't think it's that far-fetched, given the situations he and Hermione have been through together. I enjoyed the wedding dress scene too, and lifted it almost word for word from The Little White Horse. If you've not read that book, please consider doing so. You can see where JKR got some of her ideas. Also, it's being made into a movie, but will go by the name, The Moon Princess.

I really like your writing style, but I felt that Harry's anger near the end was VERY abrupt. Maybe a bit more build-up towards his jealousy? Either way, the idea of Harry finally voicing his feelings to Hermione from seeing her in a wedding dress is cute. |

You're not alone in believing that Harry's anger was too abrupt. My defense is that I did portray him as agitated toward Hermione over several weeks' time and, once he thought all might be lost, he blew up. This scene is even more abrupt in TLWH, which is what I was trying to emulate for Annearchy.

Author Feedback: Sorry to blindside you but, as JKR said that Harry and Hermione wouldn't go on a date, this kind of scenario might not be that farfetched. That's the way it happened in TLWH and certainly some of literatures greatest couples never went on a "date" before a proposal was offered. Sometimes, you just know, given the day in and day out experiences you have with a person, that you're meant to be.

This was wonderful. I loved seeing Harry's reaction to Hermione in a wedding dress. That he demanded she marry him and not Krum was fantastic. Very well, kind of sweet. I loved that scene. |
