I wouldn't call this unrealistic at all.. my wife and I have followed that exact path many times, so, just remember, you have good instincts..
in fact after 32 years, we still do.. |

i understand the whole being 17 and never been kissed...BELIEVE ME. from personal experience. and i often wonder the same thing when i write stories that involve things like that...like how will people believe me if I've never experienced it myself!! but i think this was really cute, and even if people see it as unrealistic, i think that sort of adds to the cuteness |

You're old enough that you obviously are familiar with the basic emotions and that works here. For the purpose of this short, you covered everything necessary and left the rest up to the reader's (dirty) imagination.
