This was a great insight to how Ginny thinks. SHe accepted the fact that Harry is with Hermione, but until she saw thier closeness, she never realized why it was OK. I'm glad she realized that she never had the same kind of friendship with Harry that Hermione does. It really does a good job of illustrating why it never would have worked between them.

OTOH, Neville could do a whole lot worse than Ginny and Ginny could do a whole lot worse than Neville (*cough* *cough* Draco *cough*). A very nice and touching work, showing the complex relationship between Harry & Hermione quite nicely.

There's a lot of insight here packed into a relatively short story. Your dialog was powerful and full of meaning without being flowery or unrealistic, and you even managed a credible POV from Ginny. Well done all around.

A very cleverly written story that illustrates what I think is one of the main differences between Ginny and Hermione. Ginny will never really disagree with Harry or criticise him because her feelings for him are mostly hero worship and she is incapable of seeing the man behind the hero. Hermione on the other hand just sees Harry as the boy she's known since age 11, and while she recognises and admires his heroism she also knows his flaws and loves him in spite of them. She has no qualms about criticising Harry when she feels it's justified. That may not always be what Harry wants but it is what he needs.

That was a really cute fic..lovely job. I really liked it and thought it was interesting how Ginny ot to see a side of Hermioen and HAARRRY.
