A short story to think about it. You should write more of this sort!

The whole Ron/Harmy ship is so hard to accept. Harry is so much more a man and a caring/thoughtful person, it is hard to see any girl deciding that Ron would make a better partner/mate than Harry. The whole of book 6 was so unreal. Everybody ignored Harry's warnings. Hermy rejected knowledge because it was hand-written in a book, and everyone seemed to be under the influence of a love potion and a confundus charm.
I have always believed that canon would be H/G and R/Hr, but I have never believed that R/Hr had any reality to it.
Ginny grinding against some old dragon handler? Where is Molly the prude?

That was a great story. Very well put on your points to say why Harry and Ginny don't date together. I really liked it. Great job.

Not going to try to rush out your version of what Deathly Hollows is going to be like? I think your approach has merit, though I might think Luna could work as well (but I guess not on this site). I do hope there is a little explanation as to why everything was so messed up 6th year, even if it turns out to be love potions. Anyway, it was a nice scene that could be turned into something bigger.

Nice fic Matt. It's a good one shot. I like the dance... I never really thought about it, but they never did talk about what happened at the end of OOTP in HBP. I guess that's probably because Harry didn't want to talk about it. Great job Matt!

I agree 100% about R/Hr. Although it's been arguable since GoF that Ron fancies Hermione (although I suspect his jealousy is more a sort of brotherly protectiveness) there was nothing until HBP to indicate Hermione might feel the same way. Everything in Books 1-5 just screams H/Hr. I would still like to think Harry and Hermione might get together at the end of Book 7, but I'm not allowing myself to hope too much in case I'm disappointed. Nice story anyway.

Wow, That was amazing! I really hope Harry and Hermione get to discuss what happened in the Department of Mysteries in book 7. Yaay for Hermione realizing that OBHWF just wasn't meant to be.

I think you are so right, but I'm not sure if JKR's thoughts follow the same line or logic.

I'm really glad to see you addressing Harry's whine of panic at the DoM in regards to Hermione... How stressful that must have been, and those feelings just don't walk away, you know?

And... I really liked that Hermione slapped Ron. It' something I've wanted to do for some years now.
