I would think harry barmy too. It's a good story. The opposite of back to the future. I think harry should go out for a few weeks to see and to make sure that his feelings are true. And also to assure hermione about his feelings. Few weeks won't kill anyone.

i can see where this plot heading to. it's still great though. i love it. i just want to know how you explain hermione seemingly jealous attitude toward ron. if she fancy ron then why she's hooking up with harry? just because of a vision? i dont think that she's that easy to change mind especially over a vision. but if she actually fancy happy from the first time then there ust between her and ron should be explained. many writers just neglect it which degrade hermione's character |
Author Feedback: Because I don't think it's actually possible for 11-year-olds to bicker because of URST, I have a completely different vision of R/Hr than most others. To me, their totally opposite personalities and viewpoints function as the external voices of the hero's mind, so that the author (in this case, Rowling) can show arguments taking place between friends instead of completely in the hero (and narrator's) head. Of course, the question that naturally arises is: why would two people who disagree about everything be friends? And the extremely lazy answer is: because they secretly lurrve each other. To me, this undercuts both characters' integrity and makes the entire effort to create such characters seem childish. But that's just my two cents.
Anyway, glad you think it's great, even if you do think you know where it's headed (do you have a tower that can see the future, too?). Thanks for the review.

First, let me say this fic is amazing in several ways. One, the history! (As a history major, I'm loving that you brought in some random history!)
Also, you didn't progress H/Hr's relationship at the breakneck speed many people like. You showed it taking its logical course, even when we did not like it. Finally, this fic (coupled with a weird version of Greensleeves I've been listening to for the past hour nonstop) creeps the shit out of me. Perhaps that's my empty and dark dorm helping, too.

I like to see the H/Hr relationship develop logically. I think it's one of the few relationships in all of literature that would progress rationally, and it creates a sharp contrast with both R/Hr and H/G.

Ah, six friends, three couples, and the brilliance of Dumbledore's clues is slowly being revealed. Bravo! Yet again, Harry is making the brilliant leaps of logic that seem to be his trademark - which is part of why Harry and Hermione make such a good team.  Looking forward to more! |
