Well, yes, more smut is always lovely. But this was extraordinarily well written. I don't, as a rule, like affair fics, but this I loved. Especially when Harry laid it out, and she chose him.

This is a lovely one-shot. I was a bit shocked to read what Harry said when Giny was kidnapped... but I can understand where Harry was coming from.
His parents died to keep him safe; abuse while living with the Dursleys; Cedric, Harry's friend and competitor in the Triwizard tournament, died shortly after doing the honorable thing; during his first relationship with Cho she tried to make him end his friendship with Hermione because she was insecure; Sirius died trying to save Harry; Dumbledore, whom he saw as a possible grandfather/mentor lied to him for most of his life, put him with the Dursleys and...

This was really a brilliant story - so emotional and beautiful and somewhat heartbreaking, but in a good way.

I liked how Hermione wasn't rushing into his confession her hesitation made it more likely and sweeter in the end.

OH MY GOD! This fic was spectacular! The angst was palpable. Seriously, you had me hanging on to every word. I seriously could not read fast enough. I NEEDED to get to the end to see how the story would resolved. LOVED IT! This one's defenitely going on my favorite's list!

Beautiful. I'm not one to like "afair fics" either, but this one was beautifully done. Strange as it sounds, I'm glad to know that they didn't start out having the afair first. I'm glad that it was Ron who did it first. Not that I'm glad they're doing it, but it just sits better with me (and my high opinion of the characters) that it happened like that. *shrugs* Call me crazy. lol

And OMG the opening sequence was HOT! *fans self* Man, really wishing the hubby was home right now, instead of on duty tonight. LOL Great job with that!

Well, that was really interesting. I thought it was quite well. I guess that was a great thing. It would've been interesting if you made her go back to Ron in the end, but then again, that would go agasint Portkey's rules. Not that I'm a shipper of them, but it'd make the story even sadder.

I really liked the second person thing. And the way you started out the story was really good...just had the smut right there. First line, very surprsiing.

Ok I just want to say that Ron deserves nothing except an AK. He has never been and never will be worthy of Hermione's love or even affection. Those that say that he is in canon are really blind, I still don't ascribe to the pull you hair because I like you train of thought. I certainly hope that JKR doesn't either in book 7.

The story: Why would she uld marry him? Hermione isn't the type to marry at a young age. So, that much I would argue being too hard to accept. She is far too practical to simply accept a proposal at such a young age from someone who has caused her so much pain in the past.

But, as always a well written story, and a fine addition to the affair genre of forbidden romances.

I've been reading your wonderful stories for what seems like ages now, so I'm quite familiar with your talent. Therefore, I don't understand why I'm so amazed that you write a story like "...Advantageous Match", and then turn around and write a piece like this. The two are vastly different, in my opinion, and yet you do both masterfully.

I'm not usually a fan of "affair" fics, it hits a little too close to home, but this is quite good. I think you managed to show both the importance of Harry and Hermione's relationship, as well as the fact that everyone gets hurt to some degree when spouses are unfaithful.

The one thing I couldn't understand was it seemed that Hermione discovered Ron in bed with another woman. It that were true, why the hell did she stick with him? Whatever promise she had made in her vows was nullified when he broke his.

A great story, I find it very sad, but exceptionally well written.
