Tou know... Harry noticing Hermione only when she is impersonating an old lady it's a little weird if not just sick

It was a cute idea, and certainly has a lot of potential for fun, but it does feel awfully rushed, especially the whole "wow, she's pretty, migod I'm in love" bit. It's also a little disturbing to have Harry only notice Hermione is pretty when she's done up with a bun and white hair like McGonagall (just kidding!).

Seriously, if you wanted to work this over for next christmas, you might write it as a post-Hogwarts fic, with Hermione doing volunteer work at an orphanage, magical or muggle take your pick, and her roping Harry into helping out and at the last minute he's forced to fill in for Santa. That way he could see her interacting with the kids and realize what a great mom she'd make, and since Hermione normally volunteers there she could be dressed as Santa's helper instead of Mrs. Claus, which would allow her to wear something feminine and Christmas-y. A child-ordered kiss under the mistletoe could move things along, making Harry reconsider their relationship, with predictable results. Anyway, it's an idea. Happy holidays!
