I've always found your stories to be different, interesting, and quite often offbeat or scintillating. This seems to fill all of those slots very well. Good job at capturing what it is like to become a fighter in a war where the sides are so blurred, where it is literally kill or be killed. You writing, as always, is clear and concise, and shows no fear of portraying exactly what you want to. Fine reading.

This is a much more realistic view of what war does to a person.

well another GREAT story .. even though it is considerably shorter. though i was saddened by the author note about it not being a 'happily ever after Harry/Hermione story' but it was amazing!!! it would be great to see more (it's just the part of me that wants harry and Hermione to be happy together) but i think that it may take away from the story.. you did a great job with this one..

This is excellent, but then I'm not surprised. It's you who's written it. This is a very nicely embittered bit of ratiocination; and I don't think it's terribly far-fetched.

These three will have to harden and toughen up if there's really any chance for success. Of course, it's a fantasy series and mostly for young adults, so the canon world won't embrace the darkness in the way Harry would have to to survive.

I liked this very much.

I found Vox Corporis on ff and went search for a bit a came a croos this piece. its great to see that war is not the fun subject of heros and villians and that the grey lines strech everywhere. You capture that so well that even the heros are monsters that can't be calmed to the point they become what they are striving to fight in the first place. The emotional consquences need to be explained like this to more people. You never come back out how you went in. just loved it.

I like this. It's gritty, it's dirty, it's somewhat unclean, and it's a perfect insight into what war really is, especially for people who *care* like Harry and Hermione do. I think you've really captured what Harry and Hermione have had to give up to successfully prosecute a war against Voldie after everyone, Dumbledore, the OOTP, the Ministry, and Joe Wizard on the street, have dropped the ball so badly. Nicely done.

Even if I first read this story a long time ago I still love it, and I've been trying to find stories alike this one, but I can't!

I have to say that was wonderful. Someone finally puts what this war would do in real perspective. It is a heart wrenching idea but it is what would trully happend to anyone at this age fighting in those conditions.

WOW. Rough - but it rings true at the same time. I really like the fact that you've not shyed away from the fact that the two of them - Harry and Hermione - have found a certain comfort in each other that allows each to express (and therefore relieve) the anger and hurt and fear that each fears through their sexual contact. The story doesn't carry the same hope that VOX CORPORIS has...but it's still really good. You're a great writer!

wow this is one of those story which theoretically i should not like because i'm a nice girl but the way you write i can't help but admire the story.
