The two of you have always ‘worked.’ As much as I didn’t want to see it, I knew I couldn’t break through that. I still love you, Hermione, as my best friend. We’ll always be best friends. I know it took me a while to come around, but I did, didn’t I? Besides, seven years of friendship is just too much of an investment to throw away, not to mention a waste of my time.’

Well, anyways, this was pretty good, but it kinda left a lot to wonder.

That was a wonderful story, sad and sweet all at the same time. I've read quite a few fics where one or the other dies but it is quite hard when both Harry and Ron die. It makes things so much more difficult for poor Hermione. This was a well written story and I look forward to seeing more of your work. |

Thank you thank you for your kind review! Somehow, all of my little stories come out sweet...at some point. Usually accompanied with some angst, but I also wanted to create a feeling of hope. Hope that Hermione's boys really weren't that far away from her physically or emotionally.

Very short, but nice. Very sad. I loved the picture of Hermione lifting her arms up to them, and asking them to wait for her.
You usually see two of the Trio left behind -- that Hermione was left all alone made it that much more poignant! |

I know - I'm pretty tough on Hermione, the poor girl - my beta Zaphod_beeblebrox swears that I hate Hermione and am out to make her suffer, but I don't. She's just an amazing character that I like to see showing her strengths even in such times of disparity and heartache.
I'm big on imagery. It's not like I set out to do it, but somehow something always just works itself into the story.

Nicely written, but I really hate the thought of Harry and Ron dying. I also dislike the way Harry and Ron went into overprotective macho mode and left Hermione behind. I know most will disagree but I suspect Hermione is the strongest of the Trio magically and without her the other two will not come out alive against Voldermort, and probably not succeed in taking him out either. |

I agree - I think Hermione just may be the strongest of the Trio, but she doesn't take charge like Harry does. I figure that Harry is going to want to prevent Hermione from being in any more danger and he's wanting to prevent Hermione from seeing anymore people she loves die. Either way, I'm glad you said something about what happened in the story! Perhaps I'll have an alternate ending to this...hmmm?

Beautifully written even if I can't stand the thought of Harry and Ron dying! But you wrote Hermione wonderfully and I could understand her contemplating joining them. Smart girl that she is, she knew they wouldn't have wanted that. The "wait for me. Wait for me, too" broke my heart.

I'll admit - I make Hermione suffer a lot. I don't know - my beta buddy says I secretly hate Hermione, but I don't - I really don't! She's my favorite character and I just think her strength is beautiful when she faces such huge challenges.
