I decided to be fashionably late with my review, you know. I just like the grand entrance and all that
I know I've mentioned this before, but I really liked this line: "Everything about him was lighter, faster."
It sort of reminds me of the line "And in that moment, we were infinite" from Charlie the Wallflower. |

It's very short - my shortest ever. I'll try to lengthen my one-shots a bit. I've some stories in the works right now, but I'm not satisfied with the content so I'm just tinkering around with this and that to try and get the situations the way I want them portrayed.

My wife left the computer on. I was about to close this window, but there was one line that caught my eye. The words:love in death, rest in deserved peace. They're powerful, and they made me curious. While the only stories I read are hers, I have tried reading some on the many sites she goes on. She often recommends some to me, but they never stick. Until this. I never understood why she slaved at the computer after she put our son to bed, even if she knackered from work. Until I read this. Nice work. I may have been converted.

Lol, I'm ecstatic that you may now be converted! As for the words you came across - well, I wanted them to be very, very honest and true. Not just like other words you read on headstones.
Lately there's been a lot of deaths in the family and the words on the headstones always seemed lacking in my opinion. I wanted to make sure that there was nothing left out in the sacrifice that Harry made for the world.
Of all things, he'd deserve some peace. I thought the way it came out seemed almost 'spot on' to what I wanted.
I also feel quite priviledged to know that my one-shot was one that 'stuck' - as you put it ^_^
Please, stick around!!! There's way better material here on PK, (much better than my own) you just have to know where to look. |

Oh my gosh!! This is sooo awsome!!! I love it. I nearly cried, it's just so sad. Are you going to write another story to accompany it? Maybe a sequel?? That would be fantastic. I was hoping this story would be well recieved and I think my hopes are coming to fruit.
I actually have been entertaining the idea of a sequel. Oddly enough, I've felt quite inadequate as a writer but some ideas are slowing rolling around in my mind. If this sequel is actually done, well then I'm hope it tops this one.
