That was a great short story and very well thought out! I love how Lily used loving French words so Voldie wouldn't discover the passwords and to make a book like that sounds like something she really could've done. A very unique idea. I have to say it's one of the best written short stories I've read on PK! I will be checking out your other ones, too  |

I took French in high school, so that's partially where that idea came from. I actually wrote a scene where the dragons have a bit of fun with Harry trying to figure out the passwords, but it didn't go with the overall tone of the story so I cut it.

Oh. My. Stars. That was just exquisite dear!!!!! I cried!!! (I'm sure being a mother has a lot to do with that!  )
Not long - but needed no more - and yet in no way rushed - it really did just unfold exquisitely! I love the emotions of your characters and the fact that you drew such emotion from me as a reader!! ::sigh:: And very poignant. Weirdly enough, I don't really read Lily/James - I think I like the "Harry connection" and because this had a brilliant "Harry connection", it's one of the reasons I enjoyed it so much! OK, I'm waffling...I'll be answering that email eventually, too, don't worry! (Can you believe I did Thomas the Tank parties for MY sons when they were little!!!???!!! My younger one especially was OBSESSED with Thomas!!!  )
