Wow, What a chapter! I wonder who Draco was talking to and who owns the snake that attacked him. I keep thinking it's Voldemort's snake, but I could be wrong. Great work so far!

Hmm....interesting....I don't know how this benefits the plot but I am willing to give you the benefit of the doubt on this one.

We have a ship, the HMS Harmony, that was designed specifically for that.

You know, I really do like this story. A lot. Otherwise I wouldn't keep reading it. Really. But I have to say, I'm not feeling the Hermione love at all - I mean, Harry's right. She could be more supportive and less the out right beyotch. I'm having a real hard time seeing why they would like each other, because she thinks so little of him and just lives to "teach him lessons" or talk down to him. Harry is obviously feeling the strain as well. I think lots of authors make this mistake with Hermione - too perfect, always right, all that. That's just not charming to me, nor realistic. Even when she's not really right, she's portrayed as being right or Harry thinking she's right. Anyway - besides Hermione, the story really is a good one. I'm just having problems with her.

Interesting. Enola's a good addition. Ditto Malfoy turning up looking like he's been attacked by crazed radioactive flobberworms.

I'm glad to see the locket come back into play -- plus, the idea that Regulus may still be alive never occured to me. I've always assumed he hid the locket and was killed soon after. If he is alive, it will be interesting to see where he's been hiding for so long, and why he hasn't returned to Grimmauld Place to retrieve the locket himself.

Ron/Luna always makes me grin -- I'm happy to see it was included. Plus, it was nice to see Luna as *Luna* without her being over-the-top silly.

Ack, Charlie! Well if it had to be one of them, then he would be easiest to take -- we haven't seen enough of him to grow attached. And yes, there are just too many Weasleys for them all to make it through the war unscathed.

I'm curious what happened to the dragon afterwards, though?

Cliffhanger! I was lulled into a sense of calm by all the good-natured snooping through the stuff Dumbledore left Harry, so the ending was a particular shock.

The interaction here between Harry and Hermione was lovely. You have their dynamic down well -- Hermione is always one step ahead of Harry in terms of emotional awareness.

I also very much liked the description of the storage room at the Ministry. The idea of a long aisle stretching on as far as the eye can see *is* creepy -- especially when lit only with a single candle.

A nice break in the action to give us a little time to breathe. I'm interested in finding out what Dumbledore left Harry -- plus the mention of alchemy made me smile.

Exciting scene with the suit of armor -- the trap set for the Horcrux here was one I've never seen in fanfic before, so kudos for originality.

Plus, you may have gotten the jump on the whole 'piece of Gryffindor's armor as a horcrux' thing. This is months after you wrote this chapter, but the UK children's cover for the final book just came out recently and it depicted a vault with pieces or armor strewn about. I believe this might be Gryffindor's Vault. If so, the armor being shown in the picture may, too, be a horcrux.
