I liked the interactions between Harry and Hermione and Harry and Remus.
I am looking forwards to the next installment.

Another strong chapter. You are doing a good job of addressing powerful emotions in a time of war, which makes coping with them even more difficult, and of potraying the relationship between Harry and Hermione. The bits of humor are enjoyable - the reference to ritual sacrifice, for example. I especially enjoyed the musings on the dance of the salt and pepper shaker - both funny and sad and perhaps symbolic of Harry and Hermione here.

Another powerful chapter. Again, a great job of describing Hermione's importance in Harry's life.

You did a very good job of emphasizing Hermione's importance to Harry, especially when describing his breakup with Ginny. (That actually I don't see as happening - Ginny is far too obsessed with Harry to ever let him go willingly.)

A very good chapter. You write about the absoluteness of darkness very well, and it almost brought a tear to my eye (after 15 surgeries, with two being open-heart, and with more to come, it's hard for me to do so). I loved the poeticism of the darkness and sadness and the sense of hopelessness. I just hope there's going to be some good bright moments of Harry and Hermione together to contrast them. You're expressing this growing passion well, and I'm excited to see you build more upon it.

This is really great so far... the writing is wonderful... I have to say though, I really really HATE that Harry "loved" Ginny. Since it isn't there in the books, I guess I never want to see it in fics either, whether or not they end up Harry/Hermione.

That's just me though. Good job.
