I wanted to thank you for your lovely stories on Portkey. Powers of Persuasion, The Littlest Things and Another Witch are three favourites of mine.

To be fair, I didn't like this last one much. The main characters (Harry, Hermione and Elisabeth) felt off-key, they behaved somewhat erratically, and gave weak explanations for their actions in the story, and for their past and present feelings.

(you warned me in my previous review I might feel the ending is a cop-out. I do, a bit. There's no real reason for Elisabeth being unwilling to work things out with Harry, or for Harry falling for Hermione out of the blue after so many years of never considering her)

I wouldn't agree with Hermione about not changing anything, just because she got what she wanted. It strikes me she did nothing noteworthy at all but got extremely lucky, first with Elisabeth's last second cold feet and then with Harry's change of mind about her. Her nobility/cowardice certainly didn't help anyone.

But everything was very well written and positively dramatic, and I loved your description of both marriages, from that point of view the last two chapters were a joy to read.

I hope I'll read something of you again some day.

Bravo! Lots to like about this chapter. I'm glad things came back to the necklace, I had a feeling that it would prove to be important.

I suspected Elizabeth was the one to object but I also had a feeling Harry may have put a stop to things. No matter, it worked out well.

I'm glad that things didn't immediately jump to happy ever after, that would have been a bit too unrealistic. He was left at the alter after all, I have to believe that takes some getting over, regardless of his feelings for Hermione. I think the fact that so much time passed following the Elizabeth's exit before they got together is one of the best parts of this story. Well done.

I wasn't aware that this would be your last story. I'm certainly going to miss reading new stuff from you and I hope your absence proves to be a vacation and not a permanent departure. In any event, I'll still continue to reread your works here at Portkey. They continue to provide great entertainment and I can't thank you enough for sharing them with us.

Would I sound like a stupid if I tell you that I was sure it was Elizabeth? LOL.. Lucky guess, I think, but it made sense. It wasn't going to be Harry -too honorable- nor hermione -same- nor any of their friends. So it only left ELizabeth herself.

I love this last chapter. But I'm not sure about Harry after the wedding fiasco, and at risk of sounding silly, I want to be sure, lol.

The night before the wedding (elizabeths one) is Harry in love with Hermione already? I got a yes, from his open question. And I can't believe he did nothing for 18 months! Was he in love with Hemrione all this time, or was he feeling horrible because Elizabeth had left? Ok, I read that he seemed to not refuse the reasons she explained to not marry him, but I just want to be sure, lol. I'm especially slow today.

*sighs* I guess I need reassurance, given how wonderful Elizabeth was for him

Don't bother about this chapter not having any flashbacks, I loved it anyway I'm sooo looking forward to what's going to happen next and who the hell objected, I can't wait to read more! I love it!
