It was really good, poor Hermione! The things that Lavender said were just awful but I guess she had a reason to say them.
But Ron oh my, he was way out of line! OOO I would love to punch his face in right now! lol
Please update soon!

ohhhhh man there would be no more Ronald Weasley if that happened and he was my boyfriend of whatever he would be gone never to be seen again...lol i love this chapter how the "real" Ron is shown to Mrs. Weasley and to everyone really and how Remus practicly (sp?) knows that Harry and Hermione are together and how Harry is still somewhat unsure of himself in a relationship with Hermione because she is hurt by Ron's actions...i just basically love the past two chapter they are wonderful!!!!!

Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou for this wonderful story!

[1] The Relationships
I'm very impressed by the way you started out with the original pairings of H/G & R/Hr, then just let things roll. Your take on the motivations of the major protagonists rings true throughout, although I do feel that Ron's immaturity has been a bit over-exaggerated in the last two chapters.

Personally, I never felt that the Harry-Ginny and Ron-Hermione relationships felt right. JK Rowling spent a great deal of effort in giving her characters distinctive personalities and allowing those personalities to direct the plot (eg Ron bailing on Hermione & Harry in 'Deathly Hallows' when the going got tough). It was quite clear in the books that Hermione had deep feelings for Ron, but in my opinion those feelings seemed to simply appear out of the blue and were not at all consistent with their character traits.

Given their backgrounds and upbringings Ron and Hermione had completely different expectations of their partner in life. A true relationship requires work, an honest regard for your partner, and compromise. Ron in particular never seemed at all concerned with Hermione's expectations.

You hit the nail on the head with Ron & Hermione's constant low-level bickering and lack of communication. If they were real people I could certainly imagine them in one of those marriages where the spouses are constantly sniping at one another, staying together through familiarity, inertia and society's expectations rather than love and mutual respect.

[2] Flashbacks & Foreshadowing
Your technique of sprinkling short flashbacks throughout the story works very well. We not only get to wait with great expectation for each new installment of the main story arc, we also get to put together all the pieces of Hermione and Harry's past.

By drawing out the back-story you've managed to build up a lot of tension and suspense - I'm starting to wonder when Hermione's parents will give her the letter from James... will it be before or after they become aware of her new closeness to Harry? I've also spent a bit of time speculating on what will be in the vault at Gringotts. Things seem to be falling into place nicely, and the aftermath should make for good reading.

[3] The Sub-Plot
Many stories, even those written by professionals, often have only a single plot-line. Better writers have the ability to intertwine multiple plots in their novels, just as you have. We have the Harry-Hermione/Ginny-Draco/Ron-Lavender plot on top, the Anti-muggleborn-potion subplot lending scope to the story, and the James-Remus-Mary subplot bubbling below the surface.

I get the feeling that you have a few complications still up your sleeve regarding the hunt for the Deatheaters and their nefarious potion. They should know by now that the potion didn't work according to plan on Hermione. Since the secret of Hermione's birth is so well kept, they must be thinking that there is flaw in the potion itself (and should be desperately seeking to rectify the supposed problem). I foresee more kidnappings for 'test subjects' in the near future.

The Ministry must also be wondering why Hermione had such a strange reaction to the potion. They could well be considering how to get Hermione to submit to some tests of their own - to see if they can develop an immunization/countercurse to the potion... Yep, there's a lot still to come from that particular subplot.

[4] Grammar
Congrats on the improvement in the grammar and sentence structure as the story has progressed. There were a considerable number of errors in the earlier chapters, which unfortunately made the story less accessible than it otherwise would have been.

When a story has a significant number of errors I tend to sigh and struggle through it, making corrections in my head as I go. The main problem isn't the errors themselves (since the meaning is usually clear from the context of the story) but the fact that it breaks the 'suspension of disbelief' that all fictional stories rely on.

It is aways a disappointment when I'm floating along, fully engaged and completely drawn a story-verse, when BANG! I'm suddenly jarred back to reality to correct a sentence that doesn't flow correctly. The last few chapters have had significantly fewer moments like that, for which I salute you.

I note that you would like to find a second beta - I'd be happy to run an eye over future (or past) chapters and edit them for spelling and grammar. I wouldn't be much help with pacing, plot development and spotting plot holes though - as I mentioned above I like to go-with-the-flow when reading for fun.

Keep up the good work - I'm looking forward to the next chapter!

Another excellent chapter - I can't believe what a jerk(git, prat, arsehole) Ron is! It is so sad! I know that things will not get easier for Hermione - not when the secret comes out. I am looking forward to see what happens next!

According to me, in all your stories, this one is the best. For THEIR love didn't contain with misunderstanding and pain like the other ones, but with care and understanding, the kind of 'ideal love'. In my opinion, you should have do this in the other ones. Repeat, only 'in my opinion.'

Quite the dramatic party. Can't blame Lavender for making a scene where no one could deny it.

Ron really couldn't have done much more wrong...
Author Feedback: Yeah, Ron isn't in a very good phase...

Thanks for the review!
