howdy. Was wondering when Malfoy was going to stick his pointed face into matters. I notice that you have made Harry a little somewhat introverted, which is true of most of us with some sort of disability that tends to cut us off from others. Good to see he has some friends though.

howdy. hmmm non verbal casting for a first year is going to be incredibly difficult. I alwso can't get the rudeness of some people to talk behind someone's nback because of their disability. I used to get the same thing, or when people were told that I am blind, they used to raise their voice as if I was deaf as well. stupid really. cheers.

I would imagine the penseive would only be necessary until he gets use to the phoentics of spell casing. Spell books wouldn't be much use if you couldn't device the proper pronunciation from only the written incantation... so obviously there's a consistancy that it shoudl just be a matter of time to master.

He'd probably be better off taking penseive lessons of latin.

I'm not quite clear on why he has to cast silently though... if he can speak normally he can speak the incantations, or is it because he can't hear his own incantations so his speaking them really doesn't do him much more good than casting them silently? I suppose a spoken incantion requires sound only for the caster's benefit... not those around them.

Nice chapter, it's a very good and original story so far.

Hehe, I loved that! It's interesting seeing a bit of a different version of the very first Harry Potter book... there have been lots of 5th year and 6th year stories, etc... but I don't think I've ever seen a story which contained the events of Harry, Hermione, and Ron's FIRST year at Hogwarts...
I really like what you've done with this story in general, though it's been very brief and rushed so far, but I assume you are doing it that way purposely until you get into the trio's later years at Hogwarts (where the books hadn't gone yet - or where they had gone, but need to be changed for the sake of us Harmonians)... and then I assume you'll slow it down a bit...
You've been doing a great job with this story so far!
I can't wait to find out what happens later on - mainly once you get through all the basic events that had happened in earlier books and get to the things that you will be adding later on...
I look forward to the next chapter!
