Fabulous first chapter! I'm really glad that you decided to go back and edit the story... you really did a fantastic job in it, and I can't wait to find out what you do with the story next (and to see the changes that you've made to the chapters that were already posted earlier)...
I wonder how Petunia and Vernon will react to Harry being deaf - Vernon will probably hate Harry all the more... but I hope that Petunia does care for him.

Dude! This is on it's way to being one of the best re-writes EVER! That was so awesome! I liked seeing Petunia's loyalty, even though she didn't particularly like her sister. And the explanation on Harry's deafness. If this first chapter of this re-write is any indication, then this thing is gonna be awesome! Definitely can't wait for the next update to see where you take this (again, almost? I dunno...maybe) because it's awesome. Wonderful job!

I liked the old version. This is just my opinion, but I think you should have it mostly almost the same.

Hee! I love this story. Hermione and Harry are close enough to their original selves, yet different enough -- Harry, with his disability, and Hermione, with having a friend -- to give the story character and depth. They're great, and the writing is great.

I can't wait to see how you've got everything going, once your updates are all caught up -- I was fine with not knowing exactly how Harry got his disability, but I DO like to know. So I'm glad you're filling us in. Thanks!

I absolutely love this story -- the characterizations are awesome, the pace is perfect, and the plot is just so incredibly...unique. Wonderful job, and I can't wait for the next update.

thats good that he meet someone who can sign and that he can read lips. but how i going to cast spells? he wont know how to say them. the story is good so far keep up the good work.

how did harry get deaf in the first place? how did harry figure out how to get on the train of he's deaf? can he read lips? the story is good so far and it is interesting.

I'm glad that you've decided to go back and add a few chapters before the first, and fill in some holes, because it all started a bit suddenly and randomly.
So I suppose, to some extent, it is better that this isn't an update, because I like the news that it brought.
I also loved the preview to the new first chapter, and I can't wait to see what else you decide to do with this story.

I love this story but you really need to update this lovely story

What an interesting premise, a deaf Harry. Where can this be going? Is Harry beyond restoration? Can he learn the subtleties of non-verbal magic (wandless, yet)? Are we likely to meet the troll?
I, for one, am ready to continue reading. I share that trait with Hermione. But before that happens, you must create; please do your thing.
