Very good, but I still believe in legillimency so they can see what they lost and let their minds dwell on what they have done. Maybe even if possible, bring them back to sanity for a few minutes before they die. |

Interesting, actually, although nowhere near as dark as I would've hoped. xD

Waaay too easy a death for both of them; for Ginny, I wouldn't even kill her. I'd transfigure her into something resembling Millicent Bulstrode, strip her of her magic and dump her in Butte, Montana, with a geas that forced her to spend her life as a truck stop waitress. Ron I'd feed to the Acromantulas....the babies, so it'd take a long time to be drained dry. |

That was sick, but oddly satisfying. I actually enjoyed that. I don't know, maybe my friends are right and I am turning into a demon, but I have to say, that was one of the most enjoyable pieces of literary work I've read in a long time. Keep it up. |

Another excellent story.
You write Dark Ron very well. It is so very plausible that Ron would let his jealousies get the better of him. There is ample precedent in canon of his jealousy of Harry. Therefore, the extreme characterization of Ron (and Ginny) was perfectly done.
The characterizations of Harry and Hermione were also perfect. Harry would do anything to prevent Hermione being hurt, including sacrificing his magical powers. Hermione would keep her head and manage to find a way out, i.e. stealing the wand she needs to negate this power-binding geas.
What struck me as I was reading was how this story nearly meshes with another story of yours with a Dark Ron ('Not Even Close'). I read these stories in reverse order to their publication, since this story is the older one, but nevertheless there is a striking similarity in both Rons. The Ron in 'Not Even Close' is Dark, he is jealous and angry and willing to attack Harry and Hermione, but this Ron is Darker, almost as if he had become so as a result of his inability to deal with losing Hermione to Harry. I said nearly meshes, since in this story you say that Hermione was never with Ron and the scenario of Harry's confession of love is a bit different. But aside from this detail, it almost reads as a progression of betrayal.
To sum up: an entertaining, well written story.

How come this fic is marked as angst? Ron and Ginny are portrayed realistically, and HHr happens from the start - what's angstsy about it? |

"You should have killed us, Ron," Harry's voice was sad, as he shook his head, "Just like you killed everyone else. Just like you killed your family, and Remus and Tonks, and everyone else there, just because like a spoiled little boy, you didn't get what you wanted."
Very very cool and it could be realistic. Its very well written.
You know sometimes I have felt why JKR has chosen to highlight Ron's insecurities and jealousies so much. Apart from Percy , these 2 Weasley siblings are the only ones who have a chance of betraying harry as these people are money crazy, crave power and popularity.
Do you think that these could betray Harry?
If they do so in canon , it certainly befits their behaviour and what reinstates what Ron saw in the Mirror of Erised: Only himself.

You know, I rather enjoyed this fic. The idea of Dark!Harry and Hermione interests me a lot for some reason, especially since they're able to still hold on to the love they have for each other that only you can write. I would love to read a novel length story along the lines of this. I think people would be pretty interested in it also. Great job on this! |

*Shudder*
"He who fights with monsters must take care lest he thereby become a monster. And if you gaze too long into the abyss, the abyss gazes also into you."
--Friedrich Nietzsche, "Beyond Good and Evil"
That is a nasty little plot idea, and hopefully a path we will never tread down. It was at least somewhat reassuring to see Harry and Hermione being rather merciful in the end. Betrayal of those who trust us is the worst sort of revenge. |

Excellent job, even though it is a touch darker than I was expecting. I loved the casual ease the H/Hr did everything with. Overall an ingenious work of art: I would love it if you let out this darker side more often. |

You sure do angst and drama well, don't you? I like! |
