It may have been written as a Snape/McGonagall, but it's easy to see this fitting Harry/Hermione as well. I always enjoy reading your work. You do a great job on everything you post.

I liked it, the sex was just an accessory, not the core of the story. Yes, a little dramatic, but it fits as you continue to read.

*shiver* to just think McG and Snape makes the hairs in the back of my nech to stand out! Lol.

Your phrasing and word choosing was also very mature and appropriate through the most pasrt. Only two places where you didn't hit it in the bullseye with the words, but that is perfectly fine. Great story (not really a stroy, but a tale-telling) overall.

I was going through my inbox, cleaning it a bit and I found I had saved this Alert, so here I am, after maybe two centuries. Better late then never, don't you think? Lol.

Cheers!

So, once again an author alert sits in my inbox, just waiting for the day that I click on the link. Today's the day for this one! And as I'm reading it, I'm thinking, have a read this before? Yep, I have! Way to use a title and confuse me! But anyway, I still love it! (Like I need to tell you that) So poetic and beautiful. Works for Harry and Hermione or Minerva and Snape.

What a beautiful story. So very nicely told. It feels so very real. It is times like this when I find it hard to remeber these are only characters of our stories. They seem so real. Really well done!

Awwwwww.... Love you too Terri!!! I think it works well as both points of view actually. I told you that when you wrote it. I thank you again for rising to the challenge. I know it was hard for you, but you are such an amazing author and only you could make something that could span both ships so easily. Thanks again, hon! HUGS and BUGS!

This is one of the best fic I've EVER written. No matter the genre or fandom. Your fic is like a Pablo Neruda poem given life and room to soar. The words that Harry and Hermione say in the midst of their passion are just WONDERFUL. You make their voices full of so much emotion, even though they say very little. This whole Fic is like a prose poem. If you take out the names it could very well be just as powerful in the non-internet world. I thought Genevieve's "The Sound of a Kiss" was the only work out there that had so much romantic, smoldering emotion. I am so glad to be proven wrong. The more melodramatic side of he is in perfect contentment! Do you know of any other fics that are like this one? What was your inspiration for your style here? I am going to look over the rest of your fics, too. Please, keep up the excellent work!!!

Author Feedback: Hi Eric~

Wow! What a fantastic review. I apologize for taking so long to get back to you. On the one hand, life's been busy, on the other...I'm just at a total and complete loss for words.

Unfortunately, I don't know of any other fics like this one. If you happen to come across any, I'd love to read some more, too.

For me, this piece actually wrote itself. I struggled for a long time to come up with some kind of Snape story, but I have a lot of trouble channeling Snape's persona. I just can't do it. I can at least TRY with the other characters...with Snape I just can't.

I tried a lot of different things until finally this one just started worming its way out [for lack of a better term at the moment]. It was VERY emotionally draining for me and it took a long time to get it right. I'm sure that if I were to go back now, I'd find more things to change. It actually went through quite an overhaul from what I had a few months ago when I originally wrote it to what you read here.

Harry and/or Hermione are always my inspiration when I write something...even the R/LL stories. I get hit with something and I just start writing and hope for the best. Half the time I don't even know what I'm writing until I'm finished with it. Often times, I'm hit with a word or a short scenario will play in my head and a story and it's style just goes from there.

For this...it was just my trying to reach a level of despair that I believe resides in Snape. It's that level that I believe prevents me from writing even a passable Snape in my regular stories.

Sorry, I've rambled on for quite long enough, I think.

I thank you a thousandfold for your review. I struggled with putting this story out there at all because, as I said, it was very emotional for me. I wasn't sure I wanted to expose myself to the possibility of criticism...this review made it all worthwhile.

Thank you.

Take care,
Terri

Eep! It's been umblocked, as you can see. Oh man, it's so good to see that it is, i guess calling and complaining worked.
This is an amazing story as i said, just loved the way you caputured Harry's emotions.
The fifth paragraph, by far, is the most accurately expressed idea, and then what Hermione said.
Great work!
Take care and keep it up!!

OMG A NEW STORY

haha

yay Ter, i heart new stories. keep up the awesome work... i honestly didnt really notice the AU-ness until you mentioned it in the second A/N... i just took it in stride and figured that Harry had already defeated Voldemort and was still dealing with the inherent darkness of it all and what he was forced to do.

bt yeah, killer. i'm not even mad. that's amazing.

haha... yeah, so i watched Anchorman for the 70th time yesterday.

[claps] Very nicely done...I was wondering about the scars you mentioned at the beginning & your A/N makes it make a bit more sense. Regardless, it's still a great read.

Thanks

beautiful, though slightly disturbed at the idea of a Snape/McGonagall ship - still, each to their own I guess.
Liked it - good work.

Yay Terri, u've come up with another one-shot! *sniffles* Deeply touched by the deep emotions and now i understand why u say it sapps your energy LOL

Quite intense i'd agree, and i'm totally captivated by ur story

I especially like these 2 lines: "A thousand men could put their hand in mine but yours is the only one I would hold on to…and vow to never let go."

"In the confines of your arms is where I've come to find my peace. And as I lie here, watching you sleep beside me, the world has never been so quiet."

Home is where the heart lies and in each others' arms Harmony exists.

WHOOOOHOOOOOO!!!!

Bring on the healing, bring on the love, bring on the melding of two souls!

This is why fan-fiction exists - for amazing stories based on characters we love - extrapolated and forged into new hemispheres to enjoy and cherish!!!

BRAVO!!!
