Wonderful, wonderful, (I repeat) wonderful prequel. Really, I have no adequate words to describe how much I love your writing style...and your characterizations...and about everything else that I've ever mentioned in a review for one of your stories.
Again, incredible job -- I love it. |

I still think you should have muttered a healing charm for Harry's rib. The poor kid keeps getting hugged so often he's likely to get a punctured lung.
Thanks for another well crafted piece.

I look everyday SPECIFICALLY for your stuff - it's fabulous, and actually gets a grin when I see it on the updated pages. Please - keep writing! |

"The adults had allowed Harry along to make sure they got all of it since he’d steadily maintained he was never going back, and Ron because he said Harry wasn’t going anywhere near those vicious snot bags without him along as well."
"Ron raised his wand at her and growled “get off him, then” in a voice unlike Harry any had ever heard him use before."
These are just two of the examples of what I love best about how you write Ron. He's not Harry's side kick, he's Harry's friend. Thanks for reposting these prequel chapters.

Very nice chapter and I liked how Harry told the Dursleys off. His awakening feelings for Hermione were lovely. hehehehe
So many interesting things happening... |

Now that Harry had completely (or apparently so) shaken off the Dursleys, I'm now wondering about his future lodgings after he beats Voldy xp. Grimmauld's Place? Or is he going to buy a house somewhere? |

Thanks for this wonderful prelude to "here with Me". It was fun to read and it helped lay out some of the ground work for "Here With Me". |

Oh yes this is definitely one of the best summer post-OOTP fics I've read. Thanks for putting it up again! And I'm loving both of your current ones so keep at them and I'm looking out for the updates. |

This was truly fabulous, Lindsay. Harry's parting with the Dursleys was excellent, especially having Dudley turned into an orange dog! I'm glad you wrote this longer, more detailed version. I loved reading it! |

That seriously kicks ass. I love it. I can see why you left them out of 'Here With Me' but in all very good. I enjoyed seeing how Harry's summer turned out to be and the origins behind the dragon tooth. And damn, Ginny seriously needs to be hit or something. That girl needs to keep her hands to herself! Oh and the horns and tails on the Dursley's was great! The stuffed dragon of Harry's was cute. Very touching. WOnderful job as always |

Alas, as all good things, this has come to an end - but at least it's also a new beginning. Ties quite few knots that need unravelling during the chapters of HWM still to come. The minefield has been described countless times, of course, but hardly ever as well as by you! Wandsworth prison - another of those lovely details! |

Finally the prequel is completed as well! One thing I didn't get though... When Harry and Malfoy where talking it really sounded like they were referring to 6th year's train ride to Hogwarts á la JK style. But here that's not really suppose to have happened yet?? Maybe it was just me, not interpreting it correctly... English is my second language after all… Great work with this, so on with it! (all I say is: Here With Me)

Author Feedback: Think back to the end of OotP - we all remember how Mad Eye and Tonks and the Weasley's banded around Harry, but even before that on the train ride back the DA showed their loyalty as well. Malfoy, Crabbe and Goyle try to ambush Harry on his way back from the loo and DA members rush to his aide. They leave them resemling slugs on a luggage rack and Ron comments on how he wishes he could see Malfoy's Mum's face when he gets off the train. I'm sure that wasn't far from Malfoy's mind when he got Harry alone on the train back to school in HBP
Too many encounters on the train to keep straight - but I'll still miss it in book 7...
Thanks for reading and the review - and I'm hard at work and almost done with the next chapter of HWM.
