Thanks so much for sharing a touching H/Hr story. After JKR butchered the relationships in book 6 & 7, it's nice to read old favorites.

Quite agree that the dress didn't suit Hermione/Watson at all, although being a male, my reasons might well differ from yours.
So, in this story, Voldemort is still out there? In which case it's hard to believe in the light tone of the story. Unlike 'Lists', where Harry succeeded and all the pressure is off him to kill the most powerful dark wizard in the world. |
Author Feedback: You're absolutely right. There's a lot wrong with this story. Looking back, it's quite obvious. I was fourteen when I began writing "Neurotic!" (I'm sixteen now), and clearly I had a lot upon which I needed to improve (immensely) as a writer. Hopefully I've come partway down that road of improvement.
In a way, I think, The List is my way of making up, or trying to make up, for the shortcomings in "Neurotic!" That's why the two are so similar -- as if I'm rewriting the story (sort of). Looking back, I must say that I'm much more proud of "The List" at this point then I am of "Neurotic!"
Hopefully this story can serve as a testament to others that I can learn (some of the times) from my mistakes.

Okay, you got me with the Harry/Terry academic show-down in the Potions lesson, laughing silently (I'm at work, you see) and then, at the end, something of a reversal ... I wasn't expecting Hermione to wise up all of a sudden like that, and the idea of a 'lone tear' trickling down her face is quite touching/moving. Good chapter!!! |
