Hey, that was pretty good, and you piqued my interest with those roses. I want to read your other stories now. Gotta have my dose of drama, ya know? |
Author Feedback: Thank you very much! I'm rather proud of those roses - I look forward to hearing what you think of their "history". Thanks for taking the time to review!

WOW, oh WOW...
This was a good obsessive tory about his love for GInny, I liked it very much. I can't wait til the next time you choose to write a story about them again!
Great story.. |
Author Feedback: Thank you very much! That was my first Draco/Ginny story and probably my only one, I'm afraid! (Although I'd never say never ). Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for reviewing!

ohnestly i loved these stories but i have one question-Why wait so long to have Draco and Ginny come together? because it was extremely hard to see Ginny and Dean together threw the first two stories...like i know there would be no need for the third story but why did you wait so long for them to get together...did you even start out planning to have them end up together? okay maybe that was two questions sorry lol email me back at leeanne_is_an_angel@hotmail.com thanks bye |

OK... here I am after 2 weeks. And I'm soooo sorry I haven't review your last chapter but I haven't had time for anything. If you look inside my Inbox, you will see that I have 10 chapters of different stories that I have to read and review, and everytime I'm going to do it, I quit. But today I WILL do it. BTW... How are you doing?
So anyway... what a wonderful way to finish the story. It was really intense!! There was a moment I was "No she didn't, they have to end up together," but at the end I was really releaved. I never expected to see the roses back at all, I rally thought Draco was going bad again, but I think it was very well thought. And the thing in here is that I really liked it, and it was different form your other stories. Lets put it this way... it was a very mature fic. It's not your typical Howgart story... I LOVE post-Howgart stories. You DID AN AMAZING job in here, and you don't know how grateful I'm of reading it and being the one who nagged you to write it... despite Timbo's opinion, and you guys are killing me again. It wasn't so bad to see them together... is not bad for me because I like to see them together, but don't worry, I forgive you both .
And changing the subject here... I wander if those little plot Aussie bunnies have been working with you lately. I'm so ready for another story... I love your work and I'm going to be here always for you and them... even if I'm like 2 or 3 weeks behind Are you working on anything?
Ohhh... and I'm so ready to get my GoF DVD in 2 weeks. I really can't wait!! BTW... when is it coming out on Australia? Well, I have to go... I still have 8 more stories to read and review ...
With love,
♥Gaby♥ |
Author Feedback: Hi Gaby, you mad thing! All those stories and reivews!!
Me? I am FINE dear - bloody busy, but FINE! You? I think you're busier with all your reading and reviewing than even I am! Anyways, glad you liked the ending and yep, it was more mature - had to be since they were older. Post Hogwarts stories are easier to write in some ways - I find if I write stories set at Hogwarts I like to try and stay really close to canon with a lot of things and THAT can be a pain sometimes!
The little Aussie plot bunnies are having a bit of a rest in their burrows at the moment - I have quite a few stories started or outlined, but I'm having a bit of a break from finishing them off at the moment - not a lot of time at the moment BUT I'm sure the little buggers will pop up from their burrows and start gathering at my back door once more!
As for the GoF DVD .... the 29th of April!!!!!! Timbo will get it a week from tomorrow - you get it in two weeks - ME, I have to wait MONTHS!!!!!!! I can't talk about it....
Besides THAT - I have two weddings in the next two weeks to go to - probably not quite as magical as Harry and Hermoine's but they're always fun!!!
I hope you got through all your stories and reviews - and enjoyed the stories! Are they all at Portkey?
OK little nagger I gotta go! Till next time! You take care, won't you?
Cheers!

G'day Janie and a fine one it is here,a very sunny California, it is today. Yes I think I do get a bit better each day, just hope nothing ealse magjor goes wrong for awhile. First off to end the suspence, no I don't think America has a culture of fairy bread, by that name, or any other. I do know, I'm pretty sure what 100s and 1000s are, or sprinkles, but the act and or rite of applying a librel amount to buttered white bread seems to be an antithesies to the paticulars our native grown sugar-snack culture. I had assumed it was something more elaborate, something you baked.
Actually, I have seen your reveiws for other stories[it would of course be weird to review your own stories]and I think you do a very nice, encouraging, job with good insight. Ahhh the bike ride from heck [parts of heck, according to Dante are in fact cold] I was fairly warm on the way up, I started at my home which is probable at 300 ft above sea level and rode up to about 2,500 ft so it was much colder hence I got the chace to get snowed on something very rare for this area. That whole bit about rent and weather is because I didn't want to sound whiney to people living back east where it was pretty brutal this winter. The bay area does have some of the highest rents in the country, and the legendary nice California weather is part of that. 6 and 4 legged chickens? [bumnut providers?] are you sure its not.......ToFurkey?!? That reminds me of an urban legend, that centered around one of our chain fast food joints. The chain was called Kentuky Fried chicken. [Has this chain been inflicked on your country?] They are supposedly a maker of southern-Homestyle-old fasioned chicken [not really sure how to explain it, seems like a very american thing.] Anyway a few years ago, trying to fit in with America's new health obsession [we're still by inlarge sadly overfed, unless were anorexic]They started calling themselvs by their intials KFC. Trying to get away from the now dreaded FRIED word. Well that was to simple an explanation for some who decied the part of the name in question was Chicken. They were no longer serving what could legally be called chickens because they were breeding and serving, mutated, genetically engeneered 4 legged NON-CHICKENS! Freaken idiots! But the rumour was so prevalent that they spent millions in advertising to fight it. So not sure what your talking about but it brought that story to mind. I really must ride off soon, I feel so behind in my reviewing since because if things I think I've only sent you a couple. I won't ever be able to catch up, some of my favorets have written several chapters since I've been away, but I would like to leave a few notes expressing my thanks for the stories that help get me through these diffiult times, maybe tonight. Alright Janie hope your doing well, your book list from awhile a go brought up a few things but have to leave that for another day.
Take care, thanks for everything*hugs*

Author Feedback: PPS Did you know China already has the GoF DVD???!!!!!!! As of the 20th of Feb!!! And do you know I have to wait until the 29th of April??????!!!!! *Janie faints with disgust and envy*
Dear Tofurkey Timbo,
You should've seen me when I got to that bloody "tofurkey" bit!!! - I STILL laugh myself stupid whenever I think of it! It just conjures up a picture of a huge, pasty coloured, vaguely turkey shaped lump that sort of quivers unnaturally, with jelly like tendencies.
Right. NOT thinking about t******y...
Nothing else could possibly go wrong, I'm sure - you've had your quota I'd say and I'm really glad to hear you feel a little bit better each day
Hmmm...good old sugary fairy bread. Nope, not elaborate - just rather messy to make! It does look pretty though. Never thought of baking it...maybe if I mixed all those 100s & 1000s in with some bread dough and put it in my breadmaker...hmmm
Re my reviews - well, thank you! Quite a compliment coming from such an eloquent reviewer! I am actually hoping to improve my reviewing skills because I know how good it is to get a good one!
Now those four legged chickens ( !!!) - here it's just a normal chook and they bung in an extra two or four legs and call it a four or six legged chicken - warped Aussie humour! And oh yes, we have KFC (praise be to Colonel Sanders!! *cough choke*) - it arrived at about the same time as McDonalds, God bless their oily deep fryers!! As for those genetically engineered chooks - people seriously believed they were breeding mutant chickens??? Crikey - it'd cost more than it would be worth to even TRY and do that!!! Just goes to show how gullible otherwise intelligent beings can be!!!
That bike ride was - well, WOW!!!! 2,500 feet above sea level????!!! Hooley dooley!!! No wonder it was a tad colder! *Janie thinks fondly of her walking machine that she can hop on any time, regardless of the weather, no worries about dogs or their doodoo and other dangers of the streets* And I can watch a DVD or some telly while I'm doing it...and I think that 2,500 is about how high our highest mountain is. Well, it's more like a huge hill - this place is sooooo old EVERYTHING's worn down and rounded out!
OK, "back east" is cold (thinking out loud here) - so you're on the left hand side (go ahead, you may laugh! I do have to stop and think about which side some American cities/states are on!!) and it gets a lot colder over on the right hand side - New York's over there, isn't it? My eyes sort of go a little crossed when I think of how many little states there are over there - how the hell does anyone remember them all? It makes the keeping of a "mental map" rather difficult!! It does seem to get really awful in winter in New York and over there on the top of the right hand side in general. One of my newer reviewers who's just a total scream lives in Chicago which, sadly, I didn't realise was anywhere near those Great Lakes - I don't think I really thought about where Chicago was at all actually, despite having been an "ER" devotee!!). Luckily she loves the cold! I'm sure I'd frizzle up in such cold weather - snow and blizzards and things. Brrrrrrr. California sounds much more friendly weather wise! As for Dante's cold bits - I didn't know that! How on earth could there be cold bits down THERE?? Rather curious. (Haven't read Dante - he always sounded a little horrifying!! )
Okey dokes, I have to go to - it's half past midnight and I need to . Getting up at 5am
I will take care and you are very welcome.
You too.
Janie xoxoxo
PS Finished "A Short History of Nearly Everything". But I've started on Order of the Phoenix again having just finished GoF. My hubby thinks I'm NUTS. He's right. But I'm happy! That Da Vinci Code is a little daunting - if it starts out like Demons & Angels .... oooh, gory! I'm such a squib when it comes to gory, awful things! So it's sitting there on my bedside table. I eye it off each night - then pick up OotP...
OK, really going for real this time! Hooroo! xoxo |

wouldnt this be neville and priscilla's 4th child? isnt that what u said in the last chapter? oh well just wondering. anywayz this is seriously great! keep it up! |
Author Feedback: Hi there again Pottergrl! Firstly, yep, it's their fourth child - but second girl - I was wondering if I'd confuse someone wth that one. I'll let you in on a not-so-little secret - I DETEST Draco Malfoy in JK's books but "my" Draco isn't quite as - well, AWFUL! And a few anti D/G reviewers have said they still managed to feel for Draco in this story - amazingly flattering, I can tell you! And thank you for saying so yourself! URST was a LOT of fun, wasn't it? I swear that story just wrote itself! Anyways, thanks for the reviews - hope you enjoy the last two chapters!
Cheers!

My motto: Never say never.

Well Janie its an exististencial thing really, I review your stories, therefore I exists. No but really I think I've been away long enough. I realized I never did review this last chapter. Thanks again, first off for the kind words they ment alot to me and Jennifer. It's been sad but things do get better. Anywho chapter 4 is quite intense, you do make me care for these two to the point I'm able to care about them[backhanded sounding compliments like that drive Gaby crazy I think, whats a ferret hater to do?] I'm not sure if something like the re-creation of the roses is something that should be forgivable even if he did destroy them, I know he's fighting his inner demons for her and that is comendible, but still.... The bit with Latro was very clever, good plot idea and well done. The emotion of the cofrontation after the rose's discovery was as raw and powerful as anything written here. Nice ending even if ...well, you know, its THEM. Around here its back to being Spring-like weather, where as Friday I rode for an hour and half from my doorstep, up a nearby Mountain and got snowed on. Very rare for here. [Yep if other Portkeyers from the Midwest and back East read this I know, yer up to yer eyeballs in snow, but then most likely I'm paying 3 times the rent] Much more catching up to do but must ride more soon.
Thanks again for everything.
Take care, read ya, soon.
Timbo.
p.s. what IS fairy bread? |
Author Feedback:
G'day Timbo!
So nice to "see" you! I just love philosophical existentialism...whatever it may be! Sounds grand, though, doesn't it? And, keh! I knew you'd eventually get around to reviewing the last chapter - t'was not concerned! Ooooh, Gaby will have a little groan I think if she reads that! That whole rose recreation thing - the only way I could imagine Ginny even considering forgiving Draco was if he did what he did - destroy it on the spot without a second thought. But he is an obssessive nutter with serious issues, after all (sorry Gaby!). Thanks re the Latro thing! I have a lot of sympathy for that poor little elf... (NO, not considering joining SPEW over it!!! )
VERY nice review - I must say getting reviews like yours (few and far between) is really great - I just wish I had a reviewing gift! (I don't, I'm usually pretty crap at reviews! Much better at stories...)
Spring like weather? And getting snowed on? Not something I've ever experienced! Isn't it FREEZING when it snows? And cloudy? And you were biking? Actually, the cycling probably helped keep you warm I suppose! One of my reviewers (a "newbie" but a great gal!) lives on one of those Great Lakes - in Chicago - and she said the other day they had minus 17 with a chill factor of minus 26. Nucking futs, I tell you, to live in such places. I can't even wrap my rather extensive imagination around THAT little gem!!! Brrrrrr!!!! A lovely, temperate 30 deg C as I sit and type at 5.24pm...
OK, I'll tell you about fairy bread if you explain the bit about people being up to their eyeballs in snow but you pay three times more rent...(it sounds as though you get less snow as a result??? Don't laugh!!! Well, you can. Just don't tell me. )
Janie's recipe for Fairy Bread follows the explanation of the significant place held by Fairy Bread in our culture and Aussies' deep cultural attachment to Fairy Bread...
Since time out of mind, at children's parties across the nation - there has always been a plate of Fairy Bread. Which, even if the kids don't eat it, the grown ups will. (There have been cases of the grown ups limiting the children to ONE piece to make sure there's more for them...tsk, tsk...)
You will probably only understand the craving for Fairy Bread if you have a sweet tooth. I, fortunately (perhaps) don't - I prefer cheese and antipasto and such - a savoury tooth! BUT, believe it or not, my teenaged sons STILL will eat Fairy Bread. In fact, the younger of them still asks for a plate of Fairy Bread occasionally as a snack.
THE RECIPE
Fresh, white, sliced bread
Spread liberally with margarine or butter - RIGHT TO THE EDGES!!!!
A plate of 100s & 1000s or sprinkles ( whether "balls" or "long ones" doesn't matter - personal preference)
Take one liberally buttered piece of bread and put it, butter side down, into the 100s & 1000s, pressing firmly but gently until you KNOW you won't see the bread for sprinkles.
THEN cut each piece into four triangles. Not squares, not rectangles not two triangles - FOUR TRIANGLES. THAT is the official shape of Fairy Bread. All right, you CAN have two triangles if it's for grown ups...
And THAT is Fairy Bread. Kids ALWAYS clean it up (if the grown ups don't beat them to it!)
My only concern is whether or not you use the same name for 100s & 1000s - which are also sometimes called "sprinkles". Hopefully you know exactly what I'm talking about! One of my boys prefers the "balls" - the round ones - and the other prefers "sprinkles" which are the "long" shaped ones. They come in rainbow colours or chocolate but Fairy Bread is ALWAYS made with rainbow ones.
I just had a thought...maybe you DO have Fairy Bread - you just call it something else!!! Don't keep me in suspense - let me know!!!
OK, gotta go - SHOULD be doing some proper work but I'm sorta in "do what you WANT to do, not what you GOTTA do mode..."
But I'll be good... I'll go cook our roast chook dinner (ex-provider of bum nuts). Can you buy "six legged chickens" over there? We sometimes have four legged ones too.
Roast potatoes. Fresh, steamed vegies. Chicken gravy. OK, I'm hungry. I'm outta here!
You and your darling take care - and I hope things actually FEEL a little better each day,
Hugs, Janie xoxoxo |

I just loved your stories Day by Day and Four Weddings and a Funeral! I am so glad that you decided to make a D/G fic. I am an avid H/Hr shipper, but come to like the D/G fic. I am glad that you didn't have Ginny cheating on Dean. It is too bad that he had to die though. |
Author Feedback: Thank you! Glad you enjoyed "Day by Day" and "Four Weddings", too. Nope, no cheating on Dean, couldn't do that - Ginny wouldn't do that! I know it's sad he had to die, but it was the only way I could do this story in the "Day/Weddings" universe.
